The neighbouring towns are easy to walk or drive to and they are; Cájar and Húetor Vega. A bus stop is nearby and runns reguarly into the city of Granada, it's recommended to take the bus to avoid parking problems. The Costa Tropical/Granada region

For those in search of monuments, museums and culture, then Granada has it all. Granada was the kingdom of the moors for 500 years and many relics remain from those times; the most famous of which is the Alhambra Palace the highlight for any visitor to Granada, entrance tickets can be booked on line and must be booked to save disappointment, as this monument is the most visited in Spain. The 'Generalife' is the name given to the summer gardens of the palace and is the site of the annual International festival of Music and Dance; celebrated in the months of May and June. Granada has a full program of entertainment, with many cinemas and theatres. Granada also hosts the magic festival 'Hocus Pocus' held in late Autumn every year. The biggest Fiesta of Granada is the religious celebration of Corpus Cristi. The dates of this celebration change every year but generally it falls in late spring. There are street parades and a week long fair held on the outskirts of the city with plenty of Andalucian colour.

Sierra Nevada National Park area

Chalet Monachil is ideally located for all ardent sports lovers, particularly those of winter sports due to the closeness of the ski resort, winter is the high season for tourism in this area. The Costa Tropical offers water sports, including diving and fishing.as well as many beaches and coves from quiet nudist beaches to larger coastal resort beaches like Almuñeca

Granada can be reached by air, train, bus and car budget airlines are Ryanair from Liverpool, EAst Mids and Stanstead.
By car; once in Granada follow the 'Ronda Sur' the city's only ring road in the direction of´Sierra Nevada and leave at exit 2. Following the signs to Monachil.
