Villa | 7 bedrooms | sleeps 14
Villa Cecilia is an incredible rustic farmhouse villa in the heart of south Siena countryside with breathtaking panoramic views that enjoy the surroundings of the historic town of Ceglie Messapica and a few kilometres from the enchanting town of Ostuni. It took plenty of persuasion for the owner to finally agree to open the doors of this impressive property so that you can truly experience this villa with its striking landscape.
It's central position allows you easy access to delightful little hamlets such as Citta della Pieve, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona as well as Siena.
The property itself is delightfully rustic, maintaining many original features, which are blended seamlessly with the modern décor and layout. The frontage of the building in which the apartments are located is amongst the most beautiful in Citta della Pieve, with historic features lending the place a real charm. The property boasts 500 sqm and is made up of three independent apartments and split over three floors. There are a total of 7 bedrooms, consisting of 4 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedrooms which can sleep a maximum of 14 guests.
One of our favourite features of this grand villa is its beautiful terrace, sheltered by a wooden veranda which boasts the most incredible panoramic views. The infinity swimming pool is located next to the villa and is furnished with sun beds, loungers and umbrellas, ideal for relaxing in these truly special surroundings. The pool size is 15m x 5m with a depth of 1.3m. There is also a barbecue for preparing those al fresco meals.
Città della Pieve is 5km away located in South Siena and is the closest town along with Chiusi also at 5km where you will find all local amenities including the train station.
Here you'll find rural Tuscany at its most typical. There is photogenic scenery around every bend in the road on a Sienna holiday—and regular roadside halts so you can jump out and take a snap. Buonconvento, Asciano, and Montalcino are small, walled market towns where produce has long been bought and sold—and cooked. Liven up a lazy day away from your Tuscany villa here with the rustic flavours of a Montalcinese lunch and the powerful hit from a bottle of Brunello.
