About the home

La Prodaia is a small and cosy guest-house, family-managed, with a view on the ancient city of Siena and on the beautiful Tuscan landscape.

On the top of a hill, at only 3 Km from the historic centre of Siena, La Prodaia is the ideal place both for visiting the wonderful town of the "Palio" and for enjoying the quiet of the surrounding countryside.

Located at the heart of the region, La Prodaia is also the perfect starting point for reaching the many artistic, historical and natural treasures for which Tuscany is known (florence, Pisa, the Chianti, San Gimignano, Pienza, etc).

Furthermore, according to our idea of hospitality we will be pleased to point put other less-famous but equally interesting sites: hidden jewels of Siena’s countryside, which will surely impress you, remaining among the most precious moments of your holiday at La Prodaia.

At La Prodaia we will welcome you personally for holidays in comfortable apartments, well cared, self-sufficient and independent from the manor house.

The guest-house has external spaces (terraces) equipped with table and chairs.

At La Prodaia you may relax by the swimming pool, in the shady garden over a glass of wine, or walk along the paths of the surrounding fields among vineyards and olive trees.

A wood-oven and a barbecue are also available for guests (with our assistance, if needed).

Short-term rentals: minimum periods

Low Season (from Jan 03 to Apr 15; from Oct 15 to Dec 16), minimum stay: 2 nights
Mid Season (from Dec 17 to Jan 02; from Apr 16 to Jun 24, from Aug 20 to Oct 14), minimum stay: 3 nights.
High Season (from Jun 25 to Aug 19), minimum stay: 5 nights, within a period from Saturday to Saturday.

Price for added bed (for children between 4 and 12 years of age. For children under 4 years of age no costs are charged): 12€ per night.

The booking requires a deposit amounting at 25 % of the total price, payable with Credit Card or Bank Transfer.

The Siena / Monastero area

BY CAR: coming from North (Florence) or South (Rome, Grosseto, Arezzo) leave the motorway at the exit “Siena Ovest” and follow the indications for Massa Marittima and Monticiano (turning left after the exit if coming from Florence, or right if coming from Rome).

As you get to the village of Costafabbri – 1 km ca. after the exit - turn left towards Casciano and Ville di Corsano and after 500 m, at the crossroad at the end of the uphill, turn right to Monastero.
You will find La Prodaia 100 m further on your left, at nr. 49.

By TRAIN or BUS: In order to get to La Prodaia from Siena’s station(see information and timetables at the page "Services") take the buses that every 10 minutes lead to Piazza Gramsci and once there, change for the lines nr. 21, 24, 30, 31 or 33, getting out at Costafabbri bus-stop (which is almost 500 m from La Prodaia).
The taxi fares from Siena’s station are reasonable, as La Prodaia is only 7 km far.
