Within 1 mile of Sidmouth, Grebe forms one of three characterful cottages that have been carefully converted from a range of barns to provide high quality holiday accommodation. Bulverton was originally part of the Manor of Sidmouth, once owned by the Monks of St Michael. Sheldrake cottage was originally an 18th century corn mill, while Grebe and Pintail cottages formed part of the early Victorian farm buildings.
Adjacent to the owner's delightful home, the cottage enjoy a south facing aspect, having a private patio with garden furniture overlooking the large shared garden and surrounding countryside, an ideal place for relaxing on warm summer evenings. The cottage is tastefully furnished to a high standard with pleasing colour schemes throughout and have a wealth of exposed beams and trusses.

This cottage has a traditional layout with bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Level entrance into spacious, bright and airy living room with outlook over the garden. Modern oak fitted kitchen with dining area. Stairs to first floor. Two pretty bedrooms with exposed beams and outlook over the garden. One bedroom with a double bed second bedroom with twin beds. Bathroom with shower over bath and W.C. Private patio area and parking.

Night storage heating throughout. Electricity included from 22nd April until 30th September thereafter charged as used by meter reading. Bed linen is included, duvets on beds. Private parking and patio area with BBQ. Large shared garden.

August sees the charming Sidmouth Folk Week in full swing with local bands and amateur performers taking over hotel lounges, pubs and pavements. Participation is welcomed - in fact it is actively encouraged!
The resort was very fashionable in the 1800s ad was visited by Queen Victoria in her youth as well as the Grand Duchess of Russia in 1831. Today it is a sheltered suntrap, ideal for visitors of all ages, with great shopping, beautiful beaches and a charm of its own.
By choosing Sidmouth, you're on the doorstep of Britain's longest and most popular National Trail - The South West Coast Path. The Path is well signed and easy to follow and passes picturesque harbours, dramatic headlands, tranquil estuaries and secret coves.
