The Devon region
The Dorset and East Devon Coast, known as the Jurassic Coast, features many natural landmarks including Lulworth Cove, Chesil Beach and Durdle door, and extends over 95 miles from Exmouth to Christchurch, offering a selection of the finest sandy beaches to be found in the UK.
It is the only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site in England, ranking the Jurassic Coast alongside the Grand Canyon and Great Barrier Reef as one of the natural wonders of the world.
Exploring the Jurassic Coast
The Jurassic Coast is ideal for exploring on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. All of our cottages in East Devon are situated in what are known as the 'gateway towns and villages' to the Jurassic Coast. For further information on each village and the accommodation we have to rent please click on the relevant link below or search our Devon Cottages .
We have a selection of lovely holiday cottages in Sidmouth for a perfect Devon holiday. Sidmouth is the "Regency Town by the Sea" and a superb destination for a self catering holiday in Devon.
Complemented by beautiful architecture and a selection of interesting shops and colourful gardens in an almost level location, Sidmouth is an elegant all season resort ideal for a short break in Devon or a longer stay.
Famous for its International Folk Festival in early August, the town features two beaches, both clean and safe for bathing. The main beach is shingle, and the second, Jacobs Ladder, has long stretches of sand and rock pools at low tide. Sidmouth is also a 'gateway village' to the Jurassic Coast which is just around the corner from your Devon Cottage. The many coastal paths make for ideal walking holidays in Devon.
Perfect for all age groups, Sidmouth town is within easy reach of many attractions including the Cathedral city of Exeter, Dartmoor National Park, and The Eden Project. Local attractions are Crealy Family Adventure Park, World of Country Life at Exmouth, and Sidmouth's world famous Donkey Sanctuary. Check out our Things to do pages and where to eat and drink in Sidmouth.

"Not properly cleaned"
This is property is relatively cheap and has off-road parking and the location , while not in Sidmouth proper is quiet with access to Sidmouth town and the sea via the Byes; a pleasant walk. Those are… More
What a shame these people did not contact us with their misgivings. It is our company's policy to rectify any problems, thus ensuring our guests are comfortable and relaxed in their property. We did not receive any comments from these guests, who not only know our telephone number and location (we refer to the comment on the key collection) but nothing was mentioned on the return of their keys.
We are obviously unable to comment on the cleanliness as we were not invited to inspect the property. As for the furnishings, new quality sofas, oak table and chairs have recently been purchased. As for the dog bowls, so sorry, these are casserole dishes, a shame they are uneducated in culinary equipment.
We are not amused by facile comments - if not reported-not sorted!!!
