Home description

The resort of Side is famous for its history, believed to have been settled around 7th century B.C. The pretty harbour is now surrounded by bars and restaurants all in a safe pedestrianised area with shops galore to look or buy during the evening stroll. The long sandy beaches are some of the finest in this part of Turkey with paragliding, diving, jet-skis, and other water sports available.

The villa is in the village of Ilica some 5klms drive from Side and the sea, is both spacious and luxurious with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms making it suitable for large family holidays. The living spaces, lounges, dining room, bedrooms, kitchen etc are all beautifully furnished and the whole villa is air conditioned.

It stands on its own large plot which has been beautifully landscaped with mature shrubs and trees which during the year are laden with a great variety of exotic fruits. The pool deck has magnificent views to the distant Toros mountains and is an area for total relaxation surrounded by nothing but olive groves.

Turkey is outside the eurozone and therefore offers excellent value for local dining out at under£10 per person.

The Mediterranean Coast region

Over the last few years this part of Turkey has become a popular destination for discerning holidaymakers embracing both the magnificent Mediterranean coastline and the historic importance of a country that for thousands of years has been the connection between the East and the West. Ruins of the Roman invasion add significantly to the enjoyment of the holiday.

Antalya, the gateway to the region which is referred to as the `Turkish Riviera', is an attractive city steeped in history and with a prize winning marina in the picturesque old quarter full of the famous Gulets which, under sail, allow visitors to experience the coastline and the many inlets.

Side / Ilica area

Side occupies a narrow peninsular on the sparkling Mediterranean coast, it is known for the important archaeological ruins which dominate the entrance to the town including the waterside Temple of Apollo and a well preserved Roman amphitheatre.

Very convenient to the airport at Antalya and to the major golfing resort of Belek, which is destined to become one of Europe's most exciting new golfing area with 12 international standard courses already open and more under construction. Golfing holidays can be arranged for groups either based in Side or in our other villas in Belek.

Both summer and winter sports are part of the unique attraction of this area offering all the summer activities based on the beaches, white water rafting on the river, and winter sports in the Toros mountains.

How to get there

Flights to Antalya airport arrive from many parts of the UK via carriers such as ThomsonFly and ThomasCook and Side is less than an hour West.

Car hire is necessary and can be arranged.

The village of Ilica is off the main road about 5klms before the town of Side, a popular beach holiday resort.

We have Hallil and his family resident on site to ensure all is fine for the guests, and we also have Suat based in Belek who speaks perfect English in case of emergencies. He is also a golfer and can arrange tee times on the many courses on offer.

* Deposit of 20% to be paid when booking is confirmed, remainder to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.
* A returnable breakages deposit of £100 to be repaid when property is checked.
