About the home

Welcome to Arcadia Apartment a lovely large three bedroom duplex apartment, ground and 1st floor, furnished to a high standard. The apartment stands in a complex of 36 apartments. With 24hr security a short walk from the beach makes this accommodation ideal for holiday rental. Fully air-conditioned.

The complex features a large shared pool - with kiddies area, beautifully tended gardens and large sunbathing areas.

Other Facilities
There is a mini bus beach service run by a private beach called 'Sidem' and is run by a local family who look after you very well although you may be expected to purchase drinks/food. The service takes you to and from the apartment.

The walk to the beach and town centre is approx 15-20 mins, a taxi fare is approx £4.35 (10 lira).

There are restaurants nearby the apartment that have been recommended 'Connys Hotel' being one of them.

Security / Apartment staff are very helpful on site

The Mediterranean Coast region

Occupying a narrow peninsular on the sparkling Mediterranean coast, its history stretches back thousands of years. The resort is surrounded by stunning ruins, including the waterside Temple of Apollo and a well preserved Roman amphitheatre, which still hosts colourful performances. Side's archaeological importance means there are strict local planning regulations, which has helped the town maintain its charming character. Strolling down the pedestrianized main street brings you to a harbour filled with pleasure boats and overlooked by restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy a relaxed sunset drink. The town's long sandy beaches are some of the best on the entire Turkish coast and have established the resort as one of the country's top tourist destinations. Paragliding, diving, jet-skis - every kind water sport is available - while many prefer just to laze in the warm Mediterranean sun.

The Side area

Side is a beautiful coastal town situated in Southern Turkey. The word 'Side' means "Pomegranate", the symbol of fertility.

Side is at the centre of a beautiful and very diverse region where the Taurus Mountains descend to the Pamphylian Plain. The unspoilt Sorgun forest, just east of the resort, offers walks or horse riding along its sandy trails. A new links golf course is already under construction ,only 15 mins drive,this will join numerous courses already at Belek, which is only 30 minutes away. Indeed, with over 30 courses planned for the Antalya region over the next 10 years, Side promises to be at the centre of Europe's most exciting new golfing area.

Nearby Aspendos has a fantastic Roman theatre, which hosts a dazzling annual festival of breathtaking opera, ballet and musical performances during the summer months.

The waterfalls on the jade green Manavgat River are another popular local attraction. Further into the pine-forested mountains, a Roman bridge spans a rushing river in the Koprulu Canyon National Park, which is one of Turkey's premier white water rafting venues.

There are literally hundreds of bars and restaurants in the Side area-far more than we have had time to sample.The quality of food is generally wonderful and with such fierce competition it has to be !

Go to the harbour and you will find restaurants above the shops and on the harbour front.Obviously be prepared to pay a little more for a meal in a well located eatery.

We had really great holidays in the Arcaria apartment!
The apartmants itself and the territory were clean and nice as usual, we had enough linens and towels.
There is now a microwave in the kitchen and that is very handy.
The staff was very friendly and ready to help.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arcadia, the apartment was lovely and had pretty much everything we needed. Also the complex was beautiful, the pool was always really clean and we were often the only ones in it which was great!!

The free beach service was also really useful and they always came to pick us up really quickly, although we often had to ring them ourselves as the security man wasn't there. However this wasn't really a problem as long as you have a mobile phone.

There was plenty of information in the apartment suggesting things to do in the area and places to eat.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely polite Turkish man, that made us very welcome and the mini bus was mint and huge, with lovely air-con.

The resort was superb, looking around i would say the best, the position was good pool was lovely and cleaned every day, and warm, the apartment was good with 3 big lovely bedrooms, the position was superb, and the price is such good value.

Turkey as the place, for our first time we all enjoyed the holiday, restaurants, people, culture the tours, the beach was lovely.
Side, I would 100% recommend to people, there is so much to do and see, and cheap, you must take lira NOT EUROS, in Side.

We are returning next year with 3 families we cannot wait.
