The apartment was built 7 years ago and is in a very good condition. It is on the first floor (one short flight of steps) and has 3 balconies, the front one overlooking the pools and the back one overlooking farmland. There is air con in all the rooms and it is a very comfortable place to stay. Bed linen and towels are provided and cleaning is done every day in the season. We have installed a washing machine and are having a new kitchen built in May this year.
This lovely apartment is part of a two complex development and is on the smaller complex, across the (very quiet) road from the larger part. There are excellent shared facilities:4 swimming pools, each with a children's separate area and one has water slides, landscaped gardens with a children's play area, a bar/ restaurant on each complex and there is a Turkish bath and a hairdresser. In the high season, the hotel run a children's club which you would be able to use. Much of the complex is run as a hotel and the majority of the guests are Scandinavian. The staff are very helpful and will much to make your stay an enjoyable one. Most of them speak very good English.
The complex is a ten minute walk to the beautiful, spacious beach, but there is a bus which will take you there. A 15 minute walk along the beach, will take you to the town of Side is a historical delight with many ruins and mosaics, an amphitheatre and a museum in the old Roman baths. There are many day tours to nearby places of interest and boat trips to spot dolphins and turtles. You can do 2-3 day tours to Pamukale or Cappadocia and be awed by the variety of landscapes Turkey has to offer.
The apartment will suit families or groups of friends with fun and entertainment for all on the complex. There are shops, bars and restaurants nearby if you wish to explore the area.

The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
Situated in the south of Turkey, Side has an amazing Mediterrainian climate, reaching temperatures into the 40's during August. There is nearly always a sea breeze which keeps the feel of the temperature down somewhat. Ther mountains in the background, as well as providing a great backdrop, provide interesting sites to visit.
There are a great deal of historic sites in the region and it is fascinating to drive into the hills to discover more isolated communities, all with their own cafes and restuarants. The trip to the dam on is an amazing experience too. The land behind it was flooded and there is a beuatiful green lake which is well worth a visit.
Side has a music festival during September, with many free concerts, some even in the ampitheatre. There is also a weekly concert in nearby Aspendos's ampitheatre, with fireworks and fun.
There are many day trips offered, and you can even go to Cappadocia or Pamukale, stay the night and come back the next day.
The town of Side is a historical delight with many interesting ruins including an amphitheater and Roman Baths. It is a lovely15 minutes walk away, along the beach or road or you could get a taxi or dolmush if you wanted. Side is set against a back drop of the dramatic Taurus Mountains and the Sorgon Forest is a short bus ride away. In the Old Town there are bars and cafes everywhere and it is especially beautiful around the harbour. There are also many different types of shops selling jewellery, souvenirs, clothes and food. There is a weekly market by the Red Lion, an 'English' Pub.
The beaches are a short 5-10 minute walk away from the apartment and they are made up of long stretches of golden sand with many beach cafes, watersports and sunbeds to sample. The sea if usually very safe to swim in, being shallow for a fair way out although from time to time there are rather large breakers which can be fun to surf in and play in, if you are a stronger swimmer. The complex provides a minibus service to the beach if you feel it's too hot to walk.
The apartment is on the smaller, quieter of two complexes, but all the facilities of both sites are available to you to use. There are four pools to choose from if the trip to the beach seems to much of an effort! The larger complex across the little used road, houses most of the facilities like the children's club, restaurant, Hamam, water slide pool and the larger shop.
