The thriving city of Antalya (68km from Ilica) will probably be your first port of call as this is where the main airport (58km from Ilica) for this region is based & will take you approximately one hours travel from the airport to reach Ilica & the apartment complex.
There are numerous activities to be found here, from skiing in March and April on the northern slopes of the Bakirli Mountains to visiting many of the historical sites such as Perge & Aspendos a splendid Roman amphitheatre about (50 km) from Antalya & is a definite must see, & if you are lucky enough to be staying in the months of June or July you will have the opportunity to see the Opera and Ballet Festival which is hosted there every year.
There are also many areas of outstanding beauty to visit such as Bey Dagi (Olympos) National Park & the Upper & Lower Düden Waterfalls (approx 14 km) northeast of Antalya, the lower falls plunge straight into the sea so are best viewed from off shore.
Is found further up the coast from Antalya & is at least 45 minutes' drive away (36km) from Ilica. This is one of the main areas for playing golf in Turkey and has numerous courses for all playing abilities.
This resort is further along on the coast about (78km) from Ilica but well worth a visit or two during your stay. Shops galore, beach fronted, beautiful harbour & a magnificent castle, plenty to do all day & night long.
Is situated on a narrow peninsular about (3.5km) from Ilica and is a stunning harbour side resort full of historical interest, sandy beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. There are sports a plenty to be found on the beaches & a new promenade walkway has not long been completed where you can walk all the way from Side to Kumkoy.
The resort is surrounded by stunning ruins, including the waterside Temple of Apollo and a well preserved Roman amphitheatre, which still hosts colourful performances. Side also has natural areas of beauty from the Taurus Mountains to the unspoilt Sorgun forest which is just east of the resort and offers walks or horse riding along its sandy trails. Two golf courses are planned for this area within the next couple of years and with even more courses planned for the Antalya region over the next 10 years, Side promises to be at the centre of Europe's most exciting new golfing area.
Is a vibrant bustling town full of shops & restaurants & is about (4 km) away from Ilica. Every Monday & Thursday there is a market from where you can purchase the very best of fresh local grown produce, leather goods, hand crafted embroidery and clothes & shoes of every description.
This is the nearest resort & beach front to Ilica & is about 2km away. Full of shops & local traders you can haggle away all day long & spend the evening whiling away the hours in the lively bars & restaurants.
Is the nearest local village full of traditional culture that main stream tourism has not yet discovered? It has a local Dolmus (mini-bus) station situated close to the apartment complex, which is ideal for the independent traveller who wants to travel outside the timetable of the free courtesy shuttle bus, does not drive or wish to rent a car. An open air market is held every Wednesday in the local square which sells everything from fresh locally grown fruit & vegetables to fish, clothes & shoes. There is a very pleasant restaurant & shop about 500 yards outside of the complex where you will find the owner and his family very welcoming & extremely accommodating.
