The sandy beach is classified as a Blue Beach; the sea is very shallow along this stretch so ideal for young children. The sunshades provided on the private section of beach are large so protective of sunbathers and children alike. The lawns by the beach are ideal for children and there is also a large covered area for sitting out, playing games. reading or just talking. There is 24 hour security on the site.

The house is close to the main road into Side and local transport - minibuses (called 'dolmus') are a very cheap and simple way of getting around the area. The dolmus station is within 500m of the house. There are many small restaurants and bars locally too. There is a small shop on site and a larger supermarket on the main road under 10 minutes walk.

Bookings: 50% of the total rental is required as a deposit to hold a booking, with the remaining 50% due 28 days before departure. 100% of the rental is due at the time of booking if departure is within 28 days. Reductions can be made for longer periods or if you wish to overlap any particular periods please contact us. We do ask for a deposit of £50 against damages and this should be paid at the same time as the rental balance and will be returned in full following a final inspection of the property after departure. A welcome basket can be ordered if required - although we like to leave basic provisions i.e. tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water and toilet rolls for your use. It is often comforting to know there are, say, eggs, bread, fruit juice, wine or beer readily available if you arrive over night. Please do not hesitate to discuss this.

The Mediterranean Coast region

Side is a 45 minute stroll along the beach (designated a Blue Beach in 2010) from the house, now made even easier by the new promenade, lined with restaurants and bars - or a trip of 10 minutes by local bus (dolmu?) or taxi. Side is a great place for archaeology buffs. Antik Side, dominated by a working Greco-Roman amphitheatre, has been occupied on and off for well over 2,500 years. The thriving present-day town combines many ancient walls and buildings with modern structures. The temple of Apollo and the harbour offer perfect vantage points to watch the sun go down. Two long, wide, golden beaches extend for miles either side of the old town of Side. They dip gently down to a shallow sea, making them ideal for children and offer boat trips, windsurfing, parasailing, banana boats, jet skis, pedalos, volleyball, snorkelling, scuba diving and horse riding. There are also two new golf courses in nearby Belek. There are plenty of interesting places in the area which you can visit by hiring a car or joining a tour, including the main city of Antyala, the ancient town of Perge, the Manavgat waterfalls, the Green Canyon, the Taurus Mountains and the amazingly intact amphitheatre at Aspendos. Find more information at The temperature usually maintains a daytime minimum of 25°C from April through until the end of October, and July and August can be very hot, topping 40°C+. "Great Location - Lovely house"

I have now stayed in this house a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time at different times of the year - it is well equipped and literally 50 metres from the beach with a huge variety of watersports

Local restaurant staff always so friendly - local shops for all your needs
Definitely going again next year
