About the home

Four Seasons is the Side area's premier resort development, located just a short distance from the beach, in a beautiful, elevated rural location on the outskirts of the village of Ilica close to Kumkoy. Relaxed and peaceful, yet only 10 minutes from the larger resorts of Kumkoy and Side. Our second floor penthouse apartment, commands a fantastic view of the Taurus mountains and the lovely gardens & pool. The resort has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The development benefits from a magnificent pool with a shallow section perfect for younger children, a small secluded pool and an indoor pool with Jacuzzi & Sauna. Please note the indoor pool is closed from April to November and the outdoor pool is closed during the winter.

The penthouse is furnished & equipped to a high standard, with the benefit of of a 32" flat screen TV, satellite and DVD. The main living room and the three bedrooms are fully air conditioned.

Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning views of the countryside & main pool.

The balcony is furnished with quality balcony furniture to enable you to dine al fresco. We also have a sun lounger and a small table where you can relax in peace on one of the other two balconies.

This penthouse is ideal for families, couples or larger groups, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. We can sleep 6 in comfort, 2 double beds, 2 single beds, by additionally, we have a bed settee and 2 arm chairs which fold down to make a single bed, so we can sleep up to 8 persons. A cot can also be hired at £3 per day.

Wi-Fi is available in the development by the restaurant.

The master bedroom has a balcony looking towards the Taurus Mountains. The second bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe with a private balcony overlooking the gardens, the 3rd and main balcony is furnished for an al fresco lifestyle and overlooks the main pool and gardens.

The well equipped kitchen has the benefit of a microwave, large fridge/freezer, integrated washing machine, electric oven and gas hob and includes all the necessities that you would hope for whether preparing a simple meal for two or a huge spread for all your family and friends.

Sleeps 7 in comfort, 2 double beds, 2 single beds and a bed sette.

Smoking only on the balcony please.

Further details outdoors:
There is an easy access parking spot close to the front door of each apartment. We have a FREE to use air-conditioned courtesy bus, which operates for the excusive use of Four Sesons guests and can take you every couple of hours around the area, till about 9pm in the evening.

The complex is centered around a magnificent pool and set in beautifully landscaped gardens. A big bonus at Four Seasons is the excellent indoor restaurant run by Mikail & Anna. As well as providing great local & Mediterranean food, they also hold barbecues & curry evenings. There is also an outdoor pool bar which provides food at the pool side and is a real focal point. Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant or pool bar.

The large indoor swimming pool also benefits from a Jacuzzi and a magnificent Sauna. Please note the indoor pool is closed from April to November and the outdoor pool is closed during the winter. The 2 outside pools have ample number of sun lounges and parasols, the small round one is great for dipping in and out of and the large one is great for enthusiastic swimmers. It also has a shallow toddler area which is separated by railings from the main pool.

There is a well equipped children's play area with swings and slides.

The air-conditioned gym is well equipped with both cardio and weights and has great views over the surrounding countryside. Also available is table tennis and a flood lite tennis courts. All these facilities are completely FREE and for the use of Four Seasons Guests only.

There is a regular FREE shuttle bus service to and from the beach, Old Side (Seeday), Kumkoy and Migros (the supermarket) for guests staying at Four Seasons or you may use the Dolmus,(local buses) or rent a car for even more freedom at a very reasonable 23 euros per day.

A private mini bus to take you the 30 minute drive to the golf courses in Belek can be arranged.

There is 24-hour security, although the crime rate in Turkey is very low.

This apartment is the perfect base for your holiday on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.

BEAUTIFUL CONTEMPORARY FURNISHED LIVING AREA

The Mediterranean Coast region

If you are interested in history you’ll be amazed by the Roman ruins of Side. Here can be found three temples including the 4 remaining pillars of the Apollo Temple overlooking the Harbour, Apollo is the God of beauty and this is where it is thought that Anthony met Cleopatra, come and soak up these amazing vibes….. Also an aqueduct, and a nymphaeum (a grotto with a natural water supply dedicated to the nymphs). The Aspendos amphitheatre was constructed in the Hellenistic period and is the largest of Turkey. Some of the opera, ballet, musical concerts are held here in the month of June and July with seating for up to 15000. Turkish archaeologists have been excavating Side since 1947 and the work is still ongoing.

There are countless natural beauty spots from the magnificent waterfalls at Manavgat, the protected Sorgun forest, wide and long sandy beaches on both sides of the Side peninsula with the protected Turtle beach to the west side, a coastline which offers you infinite adventures including paragliding, water-skiing, jet skiing, scuba diving, dolphin watching, fishing, boat trips, quad biking etc. and for the less energetic days, Turkish baths and massages.

This is Turkeys main Golfing area, namely because of the long season. Side has 1 golf course but, Belek is just a 30-40 mins. drive away and benefits from 8 CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF courses. Belek was chosen as Europe's golf destination in Europe in 2008 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.

THE WEATHER
The average temperature of Side varies from a minimum of 15 ° C in January to a maximum of 34 ° C in July and August. Best seasons to travel around are autumn and springs, but winters are also very popular among tourists as there are an average of 5 hr of sunshine and temperature are not below 15 ° C.

The Side / Ilica area

Side is a lively and historic ancient town, set on a spectacular peninsular where visitors gather each sunset to watch the sun go down behind the Roman Apollo Temple, not to be missed!

There are a countless number of restaurants, bars and nightclubs set around the harbour, including Turkey's largest open air nightclub the ‘Oxyd’ all within a 10 minute drive. The shops have great bargains and are open till late, specialities include: leather goods, jewellery and many varieties of Turkish delight.

There are miles of lovely sandy Mediterranean beaches nearby where you can enjoy many water sports and you are likely to see turtles on your visit.

FLIGHTS
The nearest airport is Antalya, approx 45 mins drive.

There are several airlines that fly direct to Antalya, but the following are the main carriers:

GREAT NEWS !! Easyjet resume flying from London Gatwick to Antalya from 30/03/2011 with a return flight costing from only £97.98

Pegasus Air fly from London Stansted to Antalya all year round with 3 flights a week in the winter and every day during the summer, their prices are low & similar to Easyjet.

Fly Thomas Cook offer the biggest choice of departures from 10 different airports in the UK direct to Antalya. Their prices are now pretty much in line with the low cost airlines especially if you book early.

TRANSFERS
We can organise airport transfers at £40 each way for up to 4 people or £50 for 5 or more people.

CAR HIRE
We used 'Smile' car rental, they have a wide variety of cars available and have agreed a special rate for our clients of just 23 Euros a day. Just mention 'Paterson @ Four Seasons' when you contact them. If you prefer they can deliver to the airport, although I suggest that you don't drive from the airport the first time that you visit. Petrol is around the same price as it is in Britain.

LOCAL TRANSPORT
There are local buses called Dolmas that are very cheap and they go just about anywhere. Taxis can work out quite expensive, but there is a free shuttles bus that runs to and from the complex every 2 hours which goes to the shopping areas, banks and beaches.

For the winter season we are offeing a special rate for a 30 day minimum stay of just £495 to include all bills. Cleaning is additional and can be arranged to suit.

We can accept payments by cheque, but prefer a BACS or FASTER (internet) payment in GBP. We also have a google checkout (payment by credit card) facility for overseas guests, we are hoping to offer this to UK guests in 2013.
