The Gallery Apartment is a first floor apartment in the east wing of the magnificent Loton Park mansion house, which stands in a 3000 acre estate near to the Shropshire market town of Shrewsbury. The cottage contains two double bedrooms and one twin which with the addition of a family shower room makes it suitable for six people. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining table. Outside the accommodation is a private lawned area with a fountain and garden furniture as well as off road parking for three cars. The Gallery Apartment offers visitors the rare opportunity to enjoy life on an historic country estate and is a wonderful location for a holiday cottage.

NOTE: Unsuitable for elderly or infirm, accommodation is reached via 10 external steps to front door then 30 internal steps from entrance hall to living area.

The Shrewsbury / Alberbury area
Loton Park is the ancestral home of the Leighton family, and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. The Grade II listed mansion is surrounded by gardens and views over rolling farmland, and is home to a renowned deer park and the annual British Hill Climb Championship. Shrewsbury has been called England's finest Tudor town, with its timber framed, black and white buildings, as well as the ancient 'shuts' or passageways which connect them. There is a superb selection of shops, along with cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Visit Shrewsbury Abbey, Shrewsbury Castle, the NT's stately Attingham Park and Mansion or Powis and Chirk castles with their gardens. Explore Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge World Heritage Site, or the castle and Michelin starred restaurants of Ludlow.

OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
