The Heart of England/Peak District

Shropshire is one of England's hidden treasures. A jewel of a County which offers holiday makers so much, wonderful scenery, fantastic walking, browsing around ancient market towns, farmers markets, antique centres, castles and stately homes, museums and modern shopping centres (if that really ticks your box). It is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution back in 1779 when Abraham Darby built the first Iron Bridge and home of the modern day Olympic Games.

Little Springs Farmhouse is just an hour and a half West of Birmingham and being only 3.5 miles from Much Wenlock it is strategically placed to enjoy all the County has to offer.

Our cosy rural farmhouse is in a truly peaceful secluded location with inspiring views along the Wenlock Edge. It is the perfect retreat for a relaxing short break or longer stay and ideally suited for countryside and animal lovers.

And your dog deserves a holiday too! Pets are very welcome at no extra charge. Shropshire offers great dog walking, the house is situated on the Jack Mytton Way one of the longest bridleways in England or explore Wenlock Edge and the Long Mynd, 4000 acres of spectacular wild countryside. There is just so much to see and do it is hard to squeeze it all into just a few days.

Spend your days on country walks or browsing the ancient market towns of Much Wenlock (birthplace of the Modern Olympics, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton to name just a few, or explore the ten exciting Museums in the Ironbridge Gorge.

Relax in the evenings at a local pub or just sitting on the patio maybe with a BBQ and watch the sun go down over the Shropshire Hills. Or if its a bit chilly, and we are talking English Summers after all, you can light the Log Burner.

"Fantastic location, wonderful views, didn't want to leave"

We had such a great stay at this special place. The space was just perfect to share with my close friends for a special birthday. They loved it too. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable offering pretty views from every window. We spent the evening on the terrace with a barbeque and then cosied up for a boogie in the garden room. Later we chatted in the huge lounge. I couldn't stop taking photo's of all the beautiful plants down the drive, the birds in the trees and the pretty garden at the back. The animals (sheep, horses, geese, cats, dogs, goat) at the house also made the visit special and provided more material for my many photo's.
