"Absolutely Perfect!"

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The house is immaculate and extremely well equipped. The garden is amazingly tranquil and the beds are so comfortable! The little personal touches made us feel so welcome and we would definitely recommend this property. We look forward to our next stay at Number 53!

"Great accommodation in an ideal location."

This is a rare self catering find, so close to Shrewsbury town centre. The walk beside the river leads right into the town centre. This saves money on parking fees. The accommodation is clean and wel… More

Thanks Julie, and also thanks for booking again. I'll look forward to seeing you again in September. Rhian

"Felt like home"

Stayed with my parents on a family holiday, and the house was lovely all round - very well kept, beautifully refurbished, in a quiet neighbourhood within easy walking distance of town. The walk along the river was particularly nice, and as we were there coinciding with a spell of fabulous weather, the garden was perfect to sit and relax in. We really liked that although it was spotlessly clean, the house didn't feel sterile at all, but like somebody's home, well equipped with anything one might need and nicely decorated. Rhian, the landlady, was a joy to deal with, too.

So pleased you all enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet your mum & dad, but sorry I didn't get to say hello to you too Ann Marie. Hope the naming ceremony went well.

"Would definitely book again."

Smashing house, superbly equipped and a lovely rear garden. The house was clean, comfortable and only a short walk to the town centre. Would highly recommend and will book again.

"a very comfortable and well equipped house in a tranquil but convenient location"

The hosts Rhian and Phil are very friendly and helpful. My 14 year old son loves the welcome cookies that Rhian made. The shop "Spa" is just 2 mins away from the house. The 15-min walk along the river to town is simply a joy. I will definitely rent the house again when I fly over for my son's half term break in the years to come.

Thanks Helen, I'll have to make sure I make some extra shrewsbury biscuits for Henry when you stay next year. Looking forward to seeing you both again then.

"Clean, comfortable, superb, house to stay in."

No53 is a delightful house to stay in, everything you need is there to make your stay complete. I booked a 3 day stay as a surprise for my partner for his birthday with the family joining us later. Rhian is a delightful person and nothing is too much trouble, she even made a birthday cake for my partner which was a lovely touch. There is a local shop just 5 mins walk from the house which is handy and the walk into town took us about 10 mins where we found plenty of nice pubs which did lovely meals. My grandson loved the chickens and ducks at the bottom of the garden and the horses in the fields nearby, The weir is just around the corner and is an amazing sight. We were very lucky with the weather as we had sunshine for the whole stay. Will definitely return in the summer for another visit.

Thankyou Jo, what a lovely review. Hope to you soon

"Home from home"

No.53 is a very comfortable home from home, with everything you could want for a few days away. We booked 3 nights at the last minute & Rhian was a pleasure to deal with, it was all booked & paid for within a couple of hours.
Everywhere is extremely clean & well maintained throughout.
The master bedroom is very roomy with a very modern en suite shower room & large walk-in wardrobe. The kitchen is really well equipped with loads of crockery, cutlery & glasses. The house was lovely & warm & the woodburning stove was lit to greet us. Fresh milk, tea, coffee & sugar was provided as well as a bottle of Merlot & a lovely bunch of daffs.
When we next visit Shrewsbury, we will definitley choose 53 again, it would be nice to visit in the Summer & take advantage of the lovely garden.

Thankyou Sue, I hope to welcome you again soon!
