House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
The Allams, recently awarded four stars by the Visit Britain Quality in Tourism award scheme, is a perfect base, particularly for families, to explore Shoreham-by-sea, the Sussex Downs and the south coast. A total refurbishment took place in Summer 2009 and our home has everything needed for a relaxing holiday.
There is a large open plan lounge and dining area, two leather sofas to relax on whilst taking advantage of the free wi-fi and LCD TV with FreeSat.
We have three children ourselves so we really want families to feel comfortable in our home. We offer a cots, highchairs, stairgates, child-friendly plates, bowls, cups and cutlery and loads of toys for them to play with, not to mention a huge garden where they can burn off some energy! A brand new swing set that takes up to 4 children including a baby has recently been installed.
We are perfectly situated for the local shops, pubs and restaurants of which there is a vast selection and something to suit every taste, and less than 10 minutes walk from the train station should you wish to venture further a-field.

The South East England region
The South-East enjoys the best climate in the UK, lots of sunshine and less rain than most other areas. It has excellent road, rail and air links to the rest of the UK and Europe. There are endless places to visit and activities to amuse.
For city lovers, nearby Brighton offers everything from clubbing, restaurants, museums, live music, and the best pubs around. Lovely Arundel further along the A27 is a centre of historic interest with a castle and gardens to explore.
Worthing has a lovely art deco cinema, called The Dome, the Connaught Theatre, a pier and extensive shopping.
There are long stretches of pebbly beaches and further inland rolling hills. An excellent area for golfers, walkers, children and romantic couples.
We have always had fantastic holidays at the house, there is so much for families to do. Lots of nearby parks with great facilities for the children. A full description and details of all the activities and places of interest is available in the house.
There are lovely walks right from the house along the River Adur, (our kids love catching crabs from the wooden footbridge). Just over the road bridge there's the Outdoor Activity Centre which has high rope activities, a huge climbing wall and kayaking on the river.
A short drive brings you to Devils Dyke, one of the best viewpoints in the south-east which offers both a golf course and a gorgeous pub which does fantastic food and ales for you to enjoy after a long walk or some kite flying on the Dyke.
From the river you'll see the beautiful view of the public school, Lancing College up on the Downs, another great walk and Lancing Chapel is really worth a visit for its history and beautiful rose window.
In Shoreham high street is the Marlipins museum, really well thought out, and your kids will love the tales of the smugglers. There are far too many great restaurants and pubs to mention them all, but very close by is The Red Lion which has superb food and ales and The Swiss Cottage which has a duck pond and a great play area for the kids.
Again just in the High Street is Ropetackle, a theatre and conference centre, full details of what's showing are available in the house. Many of the local pubs offer live music and great food. For fantastic bars and clubbing you can't beat Brighton, which is really worth a visit: shopping in The Lanes, an ice cream on the pier and fish and chips on the beach not to mention The Brighton Pavillion if you enjoy history and architecture.
