Home description
Thatch Cottage was formerly two roadside two bedroom cottages. The owners have skilfully now combined the two together to form a four bedroom cottage with a lovely garden.
There are two bathrooms and two sitting rooms. Naturally in a cottage of this age there are many exposed beams and tall people will have to remember to 'duck' their heads!
The cottage has, of course, been modernised and it is a real pleasure enjoying the quaint and characterful nature of Thatch Cottage.

The South East England / Sussex region
The climate of this region tends to be drier than other parts of the UK. Sussex-by-the-Sea has many interesting and historic places to visit. Within a hour's drive of Shoreham you have castles, gardens and stately homes to visit.
The most well known feature of Sussex is the South Downs stretching from the Winchester/Petersfield area right across to Eastbourne. Therefore also within an hour's drive there are many pretty little downland villages that are worth a visit.
Shoreham-by-Sea area
As Shoreham is so close to the sea there are many water sports to be enjoyed. Although the beach in the main is pebble at low tide at Shoreham Beach nearby you have a lot of sand.
The vibrant City of Brighton & Hove is only a short drive away or it can easily be reached by bus or train.
How to get there
Shoreham is just South of the A27 main road between Brighton and Worthing.
There is a railway station on the East West line between Brighton & Hove stations and Worthing station. The cottage is a short taxi ride away.

Further details indoors: The two sets of stairs are quite narrow and need care to climb. There is an ornamental brick fireplace in the dining room with a nice oak dining table and chairs.
Each of the sitting rooms has a colour TV (one with Cable)plus a portable TV in the kitchen.
Further details outdoors: There is a charming well maintained garden with lawn and shrubs and a cosy little summer house. There are two accesses to this garden.
Nearby is the river Adur with a riverside walk in both directions. There is no dedicated car parking space but in Connaught Road there are free spaces for cars on a first come first served basis.
The centre of Shoreham is only about half a mile away. However there is a convenience store a short walk away.

The sixth person is charged at £75 per week. We are required to hold a £250 returnable damage/cleaning deposit.
A booking deposit of £200 is required at the time of booking. The balance and damage deposit are both required four weeks before the start of your stay.
