Located on a working farm in peaceful and tranquil surroundings, under the backdrop of the Wicklow Mountains, close to the Wicklow Way with its wonderful walks and pony trekking opportunities.
The holiday property provides an excellent base for exploring Wicklow, Wexford and historic Kilkenny. Avoca, the Ballykissangel village is 12 miles, not far is the picturesque 8th century monastic site at Glendalough, as are the spectacular gardens at Powerscourt, accessed by a beautiful mountain drive. Dublin, ideal for a day trip, the Guinness Brewery, great zoo in the Phoenix Park and all that Dublin’s fair city has to offer (park & ride the Luas at the Red Cow) is 50 miles.
The Rosslare-Dun Laoghare-Dublin Port ferries and Dublin Airport a little over an hour. Four golf courses within ½ hour, as well as fishing, and Courtown’s sandy beach 40 minutes. Three racecourses within an hour (stabling for three horses on request, together with public cross country course 0.5 miles. Rathwood Garden Centre and daytime restaurant and Rath, a Bronze Age settlement 2 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 0.5 miles, supermarket and restaurants 5 miles.

The lounge / diner opens out onto your private garden, patio and barbecue. The kitchen is well equipped and open plan with lounge / diner. The peat fired stove adds additional comfort along with the satelite free view channel TV in the lounge. Awake in the large and spacious double bed room wiith its spectacular sun rises over open country side under the Wicklow Mountains, it also has a TV with the major Irish channels and plenty of open wardrobe space.

There is a welcome pack provided for you, milk, tea, coffee, orange juice and a starter pack for the stove, comprising of firelighters, matches and peat brickettes.
The property manager lives only a short distance away and will attend to your needs.
We welcome one pet with guests, but would require that guests do not allow pets to foul the garden area in any way, being situated in open country side, pets can be exercised close by.

Please be aware that we do not offer accommodation to stag/hen or 18-24 age groups.

There is no internet connection.
Your 33% or 1/3rd deposit is non refundable - we cannot guarantee availability until we receive a cleared deposit - so please ensure you take out travel insurance to cover the unexpected.
The balance becomes payable 10 weeks before the start of your arrangement.
However if you book less than 10 weeks before the start of your arrangement, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
If any payment is not received by the due date, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel the your booking. In this case we will be intitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or deposited into our nominated bank account (simply call to our bank and deposit into our account) or by cheque. Sorry we do not accept credit or debit cards.

Situated in the "Sunny South East" as known through out Ireland for its mild weather, at the southerly tip of the Wicklow Mountains. The property lies in open countryside in a valley at approximately 450 ft/absl with a southerly aspect, under hill and mountain rising up to over 1500ft/absl.
The Shillelagh area
Shillelagh is Irish for a walking stick, which sums up the areas natural beauty, you may need one on the Wicklow Way which passes through the area and finishes close by in the picturesque village of Clonegal. Country life in this area is still much as it was many years ago, predominately agriculture.
Four golf courses within 30 min drive, fishing on the Slaney and others close by, choose from four racecourse within easy travelling distance. We also have stabling available, public cross country course and hunting in season.
