Further details indoors: The general decor at Chaucer Barn marries 21st century contemporary with historic flint walls and original York stone. There are oak ceilings and floors, large sliding glass walls and each room has its own unique interior.
The piece de resistance is probably the open plan dining area where you can enjoy sumptuous banquets with friends around the large 18 seater table. It has overhead candelabra, and immense overhead space, but manages to remain warm and cosy, being filled with English oak and with a heated York stone floor. The kitchen is an inspiring place for the cooks in your party. It has a four-door electric Aga, a big range cooker, granite work surfaces, a walk-in larder and some serious culinary equipment.
The large adjoining games and reception rooms each have open fires, wide sink-into sofas, open-joisted oak ceilings with massive beams and oak floors. Each room opens west (via a fully sliding, floor-to-ceiling glass wall) onto a patio. The games room features table tennis, darts board and a games cupboard to suit all ages. The reception room features a large LCD 46" flat screen television, a DVD player and an X-box.
Further details outdoors: Set in 5 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with stunning views over woodlands. Fantastic outdoor BBQ area with dining table.
