A charming 1910 mid terraced cottage located in the peaceful area of Beeston Common on the outskirts of Sheringham. Lovingly restored to a high standard whilst retaining interesting original features. Very comfortable accommodation for use throughout the year. Full gas central heating with hot water always available. Piano (sheet music provided) and open fire in the lounge. Pretty front garden and quiet, secluded, enclosed rear garden supplied with patio furniture. Although parking is on road, the cul de sac is very quiet and guests are usually able to park directly outside the cottage.

We are delighted that our cottage booked for 32 weeks in 2013 and returning guests stayed for 16 of these weeks.

The Sheringham area of North Norfolk's stunning coast line has plenty to offer visitors throughout the year. The annual Sheringham Carnival is one of the highlights of the calendar but there are plenty of interesting events going on throughout the year in Sheringham, making it an ideal place for your annual holiday or a short break.

If you like exploring further afield it's easy either by car, coastal bus or local train. The quiet lanes and byways make cycling a pleasure too. The bustling seaside town of Cromer or the lovely picturesque quays of Blakeney and Morston are within a few miles of Sheringham.

The East Anglia region

There's something for everyone in Norfolk. If you enjoy cities, Norwich is just one of the best with it's wealth of culture, history, architecture, night life and retail areas. The Norfolk Broads are within easy access from anywhere in the county and form an area rich in wildlife but open to the public for all sorts of leisure activities. There's so much diversity along the Norfolk Coast from the busy commercial seaside town of Great Yarmouth to the delightful quaint seaside village of Blakeney - and plenty in between such as Cromer with it's pier and Zoo and the delightful Sheringham.

Sheringham has an award winning Blue Flag beach and a lovely prom with brightly painted beach huts. If you like walking, the coastal path in either direction with it's spectacular views is well worth a try.

There's a great choice of restaurants, pubs and cafes offering reasonably priced often locally sourced food and of course good quality fish and chip shops. Freshly caught crabs, mussels and herring are available when in season.

The bustling High Street has lots of interesting independent shops and the market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Sheringham's Little Theatre hosts events and productions throughout the year. The town has two museums, two lifeboat stations open to the public, a leisure centre including an indoor swimming pool, two putting greens and a boating lake for model boats.

There are a number of golf courses and bowling greens within the locality.

The National Trust properties of Felbrigg and Blickling Hall are close and Sheringham Park, although well worth a visit at any time of year, is spectacular during springtime when the Azaleas and Rhododendrons are in full bloom.

The highlight of the summer is Sheringham Carnival in July but throughout the year music, dancing, art and steam train events take place, making Sheringham the ideal base for your annual summer holiday or a short break.

The North Norfolk Steam train line has a regular timetable from Sheringham to Holt (a lovely Georgian market town) and Britsh Rail runs trains every hour for the 50 minute journey into Norwich from Sheringham.

"Fantastic week spent in cottage, a real home from home."

Just returned from a week in Canary cottage. It was every thing the advert said .The owner's Janis and Dave who we met during our stay were great, very friendly and helpful .The cottage itself had all the facilities you would require to make your stay cosy and enjoyable, including an extensive supply of books, games,DVD's and Vidio's to entertain everybody,The cottage is located within easy walking distance of Sheringham and ideally situated to enjoy the many and varied delights of the north Norfolk countryside. We definately hope to return in the near future ,along with our dog who also enjoyed his stay.
