"What a jewal"

Having booked 'The Barn' for a family break, we could not have imagined such a fabulous find.
The house was immaculate and decorated to a very high standard.
Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable, even allowing access to their chickens/ducks and garden, which our daughter loved.
The welcome package was 'eggs'ellent, including owners eggs and home baked cakes and scones, which were very welcome after our long journey.
Even bedding and towels provided were of a high standard.
We had a fabulous holiday, and were very close to all local attractions which we enjoyed: Glastonbury/ Wells, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, and Weston super Mare.
I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone, in fact I have already passed details onto a friend.
Would love to re-visit at some point in the future

THANK YOU

"Best Self-catering Accommodation I have ever stayed in."

From experience of 15 years staying in self-catering accommodation, The Barn has been the best rental. Accommodation was bright, spacious & immaculately presented. The provision of a welcome pack including home make cakes, etc. showed the attention to detail by the hosts, who were very helpful, but not intrusive. I can certainly recommend this quality accommodation as a centre for visiting Bath, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, etc. Despite its location in an urban area, The Barn was very quiet & had a rural peace.

"So well equipped and lots of added extras"

We were really impressed by The Barn and our lovely hosts. The property is much larger than it appears in the photos; as a group of four adults we were a little concerned that we would be cramped but there was plenty of space. The owners of the property are extremely thoughtful, equipping it with everything needed for a comfortable stay and even supplying bread, milk, jam, fruit and delicious home made cakes. We would love to return some time and would not hesitate to recommend The Barn to others.

""fabulous""

A beautiful house in equally beautiful surroundings. It was very peaceful and still quite close to the local supermarket ( which we visited every day).
Christina and Simon were very welcoming and brilliant with our 4 year daughter showing her around.
On our arrival we were surprised with fabulous home made cakes, honey and marmalade and lots of handy provisions.
The location is perfect for the area, we were never more that 30 minutes away from all the best attractions, Longleat, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Wells.
The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need for a week (or 2) away. My husband was also surprised on his birthday with another of christinas tasty cakes. :o)
We're hoping to go back one day as we had a lovely break in the perfect surroundings.
Thanks again to our fabulous hosts.

"Home from home"

I stayed at The Barn with my family including grandchildren aged 8 and 13 over Christmas and New Year 2012. It is a lovely place to stay. The dining kitchen is large and very well equipped. The bedrooms likewise are very spacious. The bathroom has a great shower and there is plenty of hot water for a lovely long soak! There is a large quantity of DVDs and games to keep you amused. Outside there is a garden with a barbecue for the summer months.
We were welcomed with home made cakes including the most delicious Christmas cake, home made marmalade, bacon, eggs from Christina's chickens, milk ect. Our hosts were so friendly it really did feel we were home from home. It was great going out to feed the chickens and ducks every morning.
The Barn is very conveniently situated for visiting many interesting places including Wells,
Bath, Glastonbury, Stonhenge and Salibury. The children loved Wookey Hole.
On a practical note there is a large Tesco store five minutes walk away, and although we were out of town it was only a short walk to Shepton Mallet so the best of both worlds.
I would recommend The Barn for a relaxing and comfortable holiday at any time of year, you will be made to feel part of the family.
