The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region

The Sinai Peninsula is the easternmost part of Egypt between the Mediterranean and the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, both forks of the Red Sea. The western and northern coasts are practically uninhabited, but several Bedouin settlements-cum-tourist attractions dot the eastern coast.

The reason most tourists come here is the vistas underwater: the Sinai coast offers some of the best diving in the world. Some other areas of interest include:

Mount Sinai - reputedly the Mount Sinai where Abrahamic scripture claims Prophet Moses received the Ten Commandments, and the neighboring Monastery of St. Catherine
Basata - one of the oldest and most popular Ecolodges in Sinai. Note that Israelis are forbidden from entering the campsite.
Coloured Canyon - amongst some of the most beautiful rock formations hidden in the mountains

Sharm El Sheikh / Naama Bay area

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt is the Red Sea resort for scuba diving, snorkeling and family fun. The jewel of the Sinai, with history going back thousands of years, cultural tours and year round sunshine. It is considered Egypts top holiday destination.

Sharm el-Sheikh is situated on the Southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, with the Red Sea on one side and the mountains of Mount Sinai on the other. Sharm el-Sheikh is the most accessible and developed tourist resort on the Sinai Peninsula. All around are Bedouins, colourful tents, mountains and sea.

Delta Sharm Resort is an oasis of tranquility and relaxation immersed in marvelous tropical gardens. 75% of the area are gardens with only 25% buildings.

There are 12 different pools to choose from including the largest in Sharm el Sheikh. Along with this comes the amenities you would expect from a 5 Star resort including a Health Spa, Fully equipped gymnasium, several themed restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, Vampire Bar and Club with entertainment, Coffee Shops, Sandwich Bars, Fully equipped Helath Clinic with Dentist, Doctor on site 24 hours, regular evening entertainment, Beauty Salons, 24 Hour security, Private beach with free Shuttle Bus service, Bank, ATM and various supermarkets and shops. Free Wi Fi available in various locations throughout the resort including around the pools.

In resort I have engaged the services of a UK representative who can arrange the following for you at your convenience. Airport Transfers for 150 Egyptian pounds return (Our driver will meet you at the airport with a name card), Tours and Excursions, Childminding and babysitting. Please ask for details.

I have also arranged discounted diving packages with a fully certified PADI diving centre. Private boat charters are also available. I also have a full set of diving equipment available for rental should you require it.

In addition I have a 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 6 that is only 10 metres away so perfect for larger parties of up to 10.

Please ask for further details. Some late booking discounts are available for the forthcoming year.

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit of 25% of total rental required in advance, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure from the property (subject to satisfactory property inspection). You can pay this by transfer to my account, cheque or paypal.

The total rental payment must be paid either in advance in the UK or can be paid in cash to my representative on Delta Sharm prior to receivng the keys.

No smoking or pets are allowed in the apartment, but smoking is allowed on the balcony.

REVIEW 13/11/2009. Just got back from a week's holiday in Sharm about a week ago. Had a wonderful time, and the apartment is amazing! Was so happy with it. I had previously stayed in another apartment in Delta Sharm last year, and it was awful. However, Daniel's apartment was very different from my first experience, and I was very impressed with everything. It is furnished beautifully, very clean, and has everything you could possibly want for a self catering holiday. I was very taken with the flat screen tv in the bedroom, and the many cable channels! Delta Sharm itself is lovely ... like paradise! It is full of beautiful gardens, numerous swimming pools, shops, restaurants, and even has it's own spa. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. I never had the pleasure of meeting Glynis this time, but I did get to meet Daniel, and he was very helpful and friendly at all times. The whole process of booking the apartment, getting the keys, and leaving after our stay all ran very smoothly, and I would highly recommend this apartment to everyone. The only thing we were disapointed about was having to leave! Joanne

REVIEW. 04/10/2009. Staying in this apartment for our 2 week holiday in Sharm El Sheikh was the best part about the holiday! We loved the apartment, perfectly situated and furnished & equipped satisfying everything we needed for the whole holiday! A real home from home! Delta Sharm was a great central base, and although the prices we found were high in Egypt so we could only do one main day experience taking us away from the resort, we were kept happy the rest of the time just having a nice home and in such a good location. Glynis was really helpful and knowledgable and helped us sort our Bedouin Experience which is a must for any visitor! We enjoyed nights in Naama Bay and found that a visit to Egypt during Ramadan was nice if you want a slightly quieter break which we did. If we are able to return to Egypt again, we definitely would like to stay in this apartment. Thank you. Laura


REVIEW Have recently returned from a wonderful 9 day holiday at Delta Sharm. The apartment was fantastic, brilliantly situated and wonderfully furnished. The extra touches such as the I-Pod Docking Station and Cable TV were of great use. Everything ran smoothly from initially booking the apartment to meeting Glynis on our arrival. We had a slight problem with the air conditioning whilst there but it was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Delta Sharm is a wonderful place to stay with beautiful grounds and numerous pools. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. We spent most of our time by the main pool - having two teenage daughters and were included in all the activities arranged from morning gym and water polo in the morning to a trip to Soho Square and karaoke in the Vampire Bar. This was out second time at Delta Sharm and will definitely not be our last. Are already planning to come out again in October. Would hightly recommend Daniel's apartment and hope to use it again shortly. Helen 22/07/09

REVIEW: Thanks for the rental of your one bedroom apartment for the week at the begining of March. We had a lovely week with perfect weather and found the apartment to be wonderful. We felt at home straight away with the extra finishing touches you have added (Ipod docking station, DVD player and lovely furnishings). The complex itself was lovely, very peaceful with beautiful gardens and we would have had enough pools to try a new one each day and more. It was great to have the closest pool just 1 minute walk from the apartment so that we could pop back for anything we needed. The service of the pool staff was perfect, always there with the towels and drinks orders as required. I would like to recommend the Italian restaurant on site to anyone, we ate there twice and the food was of a very high standard. REVIEW 2: The break was just what we needed. We found the apartment was extremely comfortable, very well furnished and the mod cons were a great bonus . It certainly lived up to the description and my highest hopes. Having wandered around Delta Sharm I decided this apartment couldnt be in a better spot, very quiet and the sun moves off the terrace after midday. The pool nearby seemed one of the nicest in the resort and we spent most of the time there, as I really needed to just relax and my partner was revising for an O.U exam ( I kid you not !). The 14 year old just wouldnt get out of the pool. Glynis was very helpful.
All in all a great break, thanks for all your help and advice before we went.

REVIEW 3: We have recently returned from the Delta sharm and had a great time. The apartment is excellent very clean and with everything you could need with lots of room (the apartment is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures)! It is in a good location, not to far from the main entrance and all the facilities on site and there is a taxi rank outside the main entrance. Glynis is on hand if you ever need anything and she also provides some great advice on places to visit etc. We often stayed in the apartment at night and ordered food in and watched TV as it has a nice balcony and is very peaceful. Everything from booking this apartment to getting our deposit back was easy and with no problems. I would definitely recommend booking this apartment. Many Thanks, we will book again soon!!!!

We were just doing an internet search when we came across this apartment. Trying to book a week during October half term was never going to be easy, but the level of service and assistance we received from Daniel was 'second to none'. Not really knowing the area ( Delta Sharm ), Daniel was very informative regarding the area and gave us invaluable advice to find flights. He even went to the extent of going out of his way to find flights for us. If it wasn't for the collapse of XL Airways, I'm sure we wouldn't have been disappointed in the apartment or the location.Even after the disappointment of losing our flights,Daniel did not hesitate once in giving our deposit back.
