TIRED OF THE SAMENESS OF ALL INCLUSIVE? THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. Eat where you choose, somewhere different every night or have a meal delivered to you on the terrace.
S1 is a privately owned ground floor, end apartment and is furnished and maintained to a very high standard. Situated on a small , award-winning development in the up and coming area of Nabq it is located between the backdrop of the beautiful Sinai mountains andt the turquoise waters of the Red Sea. Set in attractive landscaped gardens , a few steps to the largest of 5 pools all with children's' area and "HOTSPOTZ " pool bar serving snacks and soft drinks. . Sun loungers are provided along with plenty of seating areas and parasols around all pools.
The apartment consists of :
BEDROOMS: main bedroom with king size bed, plenty of wardrobe and storage space, full length mirror and mirror unit. Sliding door to terrace. The second has twin beds and the same wardrobe and storage facilities BOTH ROOMS HAVE INDEPENDANTLY CONTROLLED AIR CONDDITIONING UNITS.
A cot is provided suitable from birth to approx 2 years. This is a top of the range 'Graco' and confirms to all UK safety standards. Handy for use as a play pen on the terrace. No extra charge for this.
LOUNGE: The spacious lounge is furnished with bed settee, 2 comfortable chairs, sat TV, DVD player, coffee table, lamps, cushions a/c unit, a very relaxed and comfortable feel. Sliding doors to the gated terrace which is comfortably furnished with sofa, and chairs with additional dining space, making a perfect extra living area for the warm evenings.
KITCHEN AREA: breakfast bar, and stools, full oven and 4 ring hob, large fridge freezer, microwave and all the equipment you could possibly need.... you wont be looking for the tin opener or cork screw here. !
BATHROOM: with granite topped vanity unit, w.c./bidet, bath with over bath shower and clothes airer.
There is a roof terrace giving wonderful views of the sea and mountains, an ideal place to watch the spectacular sunsets.
The apartment is kept cool by individually conrtolled a/c units in both bedrooms and living area. and all windows and doors are fitted with sliding fly scfreens to let in the cooling breezes..

This is my home when I am in Egypt and I have ensured that it will just that for you with all the added touches of lamps, rugs, cushions, DVDs, plenty of music c.d.'s for every taste. Sliding fly screens are installed at all windows and patio doors and are an essential for letting in the cooling breezes without having to use air conditioning all the time.
In the kitchen you will find plenty of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware. even down to a cool bag for taking your drinks to the beach or pool.. In fact, everything you could possible need for a self catering holiday.
A mobile phone with an Egyptian sim card is provided for your use, which can be topped up at all stores that display Vodaphone. . This makes it much cheaper for receiving texts from the UK and also great for ringing taxi's., having a contact number if you book trips, want a take away delivered or want to keep in touch with new friends.
Sun lounger mattresses are provided for the exclusive use of S1 guests.
Should you require it a travel cot is provided free of charge.

"Hotspotz" polside bar is open every day between 10 .am and 6.00pm serving soft drins and snacks. Barbeques are orgainised weekly by our resident Egyptian chef, we are not licenced to sell alcohol but everyone is quite welcome to take their own.

Airport transfers can be arranged for you by us but paid directly to admin. If you book transfer both ways it includes a return trip to the supermarket the following morning.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region
Sharm El Sheikh is situated at the tip of the beautiful Sinai peninsular .
Here you will find year round sunshine, it hardly ever rains so anytime of the year is a good time to visit. Plenty of beautiful beaches with protected areas of coral and amazing marine life.
The Red Sea is well known for its coral reefs and divers come from around the world to enjoy this beautiful area.. If you are not a diver... dont worry, you wont miss out ! buy a mask and snorkel and you too can enjoy this underwater world. Diving trips and snorkelling trips can be easily arranged.
If diving is not your taste many other activities are available, quad biking, horse riding, camel trekking, water
parks, kite surfing, ice skating, dolphinarium, ten pin bowking golf ..........all are available locally.
When you have had enough of the beach and all the activities why not take an excursion to places of interest ie. Pilgrimage to the top of Mount Sinai to see the sun rise, - a never-to-forgotton experience and well worth the effort. and then on to St Catherine's monastery, the coloured canyon, a trip into the desert to experience life in a Beouin camp, day trip by boat to Ras Mohamed national park for sightseeing and diving. No trip to Egypt is complete without a visit to Cairo for the pyramids and Luxor for the Valley of the Kings. All can be arranged..

The Sharm El Sheikh / Nabq Bay area
There are plenty of lovely beaches in the area. The Tirana Sunrise beach is just 750 metres away and can be accessed by arangement with the hotel for a small charge as can their aqua park. 5 minutes ride takes you to Nabq where we have access to several lovel ybeaches. This is a lagoon area lovely shallow water, ideal for children. A promanade runs alongside this beach with electric bikes for hire and places to eat. Camel and horse riding are available from here. Access passes to these beaches along with transport is available from admin for a small charge.
Kite junkies kite surfing school is located here and offers introductory courses for beginners. This is run be Dianne and Kev and Pedro and Marcus who have built up a fantastic reputation. See kite junkies website for further details.
Sharks Bay is reknown for the diving and fabulous marine life. If diving is not for you , a mask and snorkel will suffice to experience the sights below the turquoise water. This beach is just a short drive away and offers a real Egyptian feel with Bedouin cafes, shops, lots of water sports including diving, banana boats and brilliant swimming and snorkelling.
The restaurant on the beach is fantastic in the evening, give it a try... very Shirley Valentine with your
table on the beach and the sea only a few metres away. Transport can be arranged to this beach also.
Nabq is only 5 minutes away by local bus or taxi. This is a very up and coming area and has expanded greatly recently. Here you will find shopping malls, bars, restaurants, Egyptian wares, and the Metro supermarket which is open 24/7. . ! They will deliver to your door for 4LE!
Some great restaurants... The Peking House is excellent, along with On Fish, Italian Restaurants
McDonalds, Starbucks, TGI Fridays and many more. The Zone offers a great evening dining and dancing. Take aways are available from most restaurants in the area. Use our mobile and give them a call if you dont want to
move out.. Have an evening swim and dinner delivered to you on the terrace ..... perfect. Take away menus available in the apartment.
Many well known designer stores have now opened in Nabq, Levi, Timberland, fabulous bag and shoe shops, designer sun glasses.
The newly opened Soho Square is just a short drive away, offering plenty of international restaurants for that special night out, night clubs, designer shops, Ice skating, and bowling alley ice bar and English pub. Or just sit and take it all in and enjoy the spectacular fountains at night.
20 mins by local bus will find you at Naama Bay, the centre of night life in Sharm El Sheikh. Here you will find more restaurants, bars, casino's, clubs and all the shopping could possibily require. Enjoy Hard Rock, TGI
Fridays. Little Buddha.. The Indian restaurant at the camel bar is popular.. or go on the roof terrace and have
a meal and a Sheesha pipe .
Old Sharm still retains the real Egyptian feel and this is where the local people do their shopping. This area is great for eating out, try a typical Egyptian restaurant or the many fish restaurant where prices are very reasonable. Have a go at haggling for your souvenirs, a great way to make new friends and have a new experience, relax and have a cup of tea and enjoy yourself. Just remember the price they ask is never the price you will end up paying and you do not have to buy, if you dont like the price leave and look elsewhere.
Taxi's are widely available but do agree a price before getting in. Alternatively, try the local blue and white bus service. These run every few minutes, there are no bus stops, just put your hand out to stop one. They are really cheap and it should not cost you any more than 5LE to get to Naama Bay, 2LE to Nabq .Give it a try. Transport can also be arranged on site, speak to Norita on our complex who does great weekly deals .

OMG!!!!!!! WHAT A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!!! Caroles apartment is amazing, breath taking, perfect!!!! My mum, myself and my 2 sons age 10 and 12 were welcomed by the Egyptian Experience staff at the airport, so friendly and welcoming. A 5-10 min bus ride took us to the resort where more staff were waiting to handle our luggage and guide us to the apartment. The apartment is so beautiful, clean , airy, and very comfortable. Carol has everything you need, aswell as being home from home it has a lovely egyptian feel to it. It is situated in the shade which is great and there is also a lovely cool breeze that blows through. The bedrooms are perfect we all slept really well. The apartment was So much more than we ever expected... Carol is fantastic,friendly, warm and very helpful,she cant do enough for you to ensure you have a fantastic holiday. We have booked for next Year, it cant come soon enough. IT IS A TRULY WOUNDERFULL EGYPTIAN EXPERIANCE!! |

I have had so many disappointments with holiday accommodation in the past so I always read reviews before booking, but I find even then some have been ok, but not what I hoped for. Carole's apartment on the other hand was everything I had hoped for. it is bright, airy, spacious, everything worked as it should, it is equipped with every possible item you might need (you could stay there for 6 months and not need to buy anything extra) it is not extravagant (dont expect leather sofas and plasmas) but somewhere clean and comfy and where I was happy and comfortable being. I loved the fact it is ground floor with a large patio/balcony area for eating or just chilling out on the sofa, we would order food from the pool side snack bar and they brought it over to us while we played cards and overlooked the pool. Together with my husband, we highly recommend this beautiful apartment, because I went for the first time on this type of holiday i was a little nervous from self catering travelling. After 1 week I highly recommend this type of holiday and mainly to come to her apartment , i am sure I will come back. The apartment was very nice, there you can find everything what you need for your stay. Apartment is very comfortable clean and nice and very good sitated in the resort. There is everything you need as regards kitchen and bathroom equipment , a lot of useful things, a lot of space for clothes. I really appreciated the terrace where you can sit during the day and in the evening. I felt there really like at home and I did not want to go home. Carole provides us all requested information we needed before coming there. She was also very supportive to me when my flight was cancelled due to the weather in Europe and she offered to me to stay more two days in her apartment. I appreciate her apporach. i highly recommend caroles apartment to everybody who likes to spend holiday as travelling self catering.

S1 was an excellent choice of apartment for our first self catering holiday in Egypt. We have been going to Egypt for 20 years but always all inclusive. it was lovely to have the choice of eating in or going out. Restaurants, bars and beaches just 10 mins from the airport. This beautiful apartment is very clean and well maintained and equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The residents, guests and staff are all very friendly and helpful. Carolel the owner of the apartment has been great, sending us loads of information about the complex and the area before we left for egypt and phoning when we got home to make sure everything was ok. Just like to thank carole for letting us stay in her home when she is in Egypt. Cant wait to go back to S1. (review left on tripadvisor for vist March 2011 )
Hi Carole Back to all this awful weather and tan already starting to fade. WE had a fab stay in S1 and looking around I really think yours was one of the best. So glad we chose a ground floor, didn't think at the time but so good not to have to run up and down stairs all the time for drinks and loo. Having our own sunbed mattresses was a bonus as often there were none to be had. Can't fault the apartment in any way, it is fab. Hopefully we will be booking again soon. Take care. Love Gill X

HI Carole, Just to say what a wonderful time we had and the apartment was a real home from home. The complex was so lovely and relaxing and the people were nice and helpful. There was everything we could have wanted within the apartment, sheets, towels and kitchen utensils, it was just like being at home.. even down to the cooking :-) All the information you gave me before hand was very useful and gave us lots of choice of things to do. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it without hesitation.

Our first time at Egyptian Experience and we could not have found a better apartment than S1. Carole provided everything we could possibly want to know or use. The apartment is well situated away from the entrance and close to the pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall. the best of our 4 holidays to Sharm so far, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and will definitely be returning to S1.

Egypt is one of the most fascinating places we have been to for a family holiday. The apartment of yours is fantastic, and we would certainly go back and more importantly recommend it to anybody.

Rate is based on up to 4 sharing, the higher rate for 5 or 6. Electricity, water and sewerage are charged seperately according to your use. Meters will be read on arrival and departure and payble to admin in Egyptian Pounds before you leave.. This has proved to be the most popular way to ensure that you pay only for what you use. Admin are happy to check meters during your stay so you can monitor useage and cost.
£75 non-refundable deposit required on booking with full payment due 6 weeks before date of departure.
Please note any breakages or damage should be notified to admin staff and paid for, we do not ask for
a breakages deposit, we rely on the honesty of our guests.
The apartment will be cleaned and ready for your arrival with laundry being done at the end of your stay. Plenty of linen and towels and pool towels are provided in the apartment. Further housekeeping can be arranged with admin should you require it for a small charge.
Check in and out times are flexible depending on arrival of other guests. If the apartment is to be occupied the same day as your departure we ask for you to vacate by 11.00am unless you have made prior arrangements.
Payment by Personal cheque, Bank transfer.
