Our self-catering top floor apartment is situated in Nabq Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, this is a new complex which is secure and managed by Egyptian Experience (British-Egyptian company).
The apartment has air con, two bedrooms with four single beds (plus sofa-bed in lounge) and a large lounge/ kitchen area. The bathroom has a shower and bath with 24 hour hot water.
The lounge opens up onto the balcony which looks directly out to the sea and the Tirran Islands.The complex has roof top sun decks, two smaller and one large pool (with pool bar), sun loungers and brollies and a small shop all set in landscaped gardens. The site management team provide friendly local advice and will help book tours and taxis if required.
There is a washing machine with drying facilities available in the site shop complex.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region
In Sharm you will find all year round sun and little rain. The hottest months are between May and September. The Sinai peninsular was once part of the mainland, plate activity has ensured it is now separate and the Gulf of Aqaba which formed gets wider by a few inches a year.
The views in one direction look straight out onto the Sinai mountains and the deserts, a trip to watch the sunrise on the mountain where Moses wrote the Ten Commandments is a must. The views over the Gulf of Aqaba onto the island of Tiran and one of the many wrecks are also worth waiting for. The reefs off these shores are a diver's paradise, with some of the most beautiful corals and aquatic life around. Here you might see sharks, turtles and dolphins; you will see all sorts of exotic and colourful fish.
Sharm El Sheikh / Nabq Bay area
A taxi to and from Naama Bay is 50 LE each way, they will drop you off at the place where you can pick one up for the return journey. Don’t pay any more than 50 LE for your return journey (if you are not sure check with the guys at the complex before you go). NOTE YOU SHOULD negotiate your fare before you get in the taxi and if the taxi driver wants more just walk away, there are plenty to choose from. To make it easy the staff on site will organise a taxi if you wish.
A couple on site have a transport company and will offer a special deal to cover transport for the whole week.
In Naama Bay you can get a beer from 18-20 LE and Sheesha for around 10 LE, if you want night life it is here that you will find it.
For meals you can eat at McDonalds, KFC, Hard Rock Café or if feeling more traditional try El Sid above Hard Rock Café. This is a traditional Egyptian restaurant where you can get starters from 15-40 LE, meals such as Kofta (35 LE), shish kebabs (40 LE) or traditional Egyptian main courses (40 LE). There is a good Mexican next to Naama Bay Hotel and again you could eat here for about 150 LE for two people. There is lots of other choice such as Lebanese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Steak Houses or if you are meeting fellow divers the usual place is the Camel Bar.
You can buy your breakfasts and other bits from one of the supermarkets here; one of the bigger places is below McDonalds. There are also two shops which sell beer and wine, here a bottle of beer starts at 8 LE and wine at 50 LE.
There are two HSBC banks with cash points, change most of your monies here, or get it from the ATM. There is a better exchange rate in Egypt, they want foreign currency.

How to get there
-Fly direct into Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. -Check our website links for air travel - www.red-sea-apartment.co.uk, or use google; major carriers fly in regularly from UK airports including Easyjet. -Nabq Bay is just 10 minutes from the airport. -We can arrange a meet and greet pickup from just £15 for a family and luggage -You can get a local taxi, they may try to overcharge tourists just arriving. Fare should be no more than 40 Egyptian pounds; be prepared to haggle.

Further details indoors: Apartment is fully air conditioned (three units) and finished to a high standard. All towels and bedlinen are provided within the price. We have sheets, blankets and duvets for your comfort. The sofa folds out into a comfortable double bed, cots can be hired for the week. Kitchen is fully fitted (microwave and hob) and has crockery, cutlery etc available. TV with satellite and DVD player in lounge.
Further details outdoors: The site admin office has shop, cots, a washing machine and an iron is available. There is a brand new 24/7 supermarket next to the new McDonalds ten minutes by taxi. There are other closer supermarkets in Nabq town. Here there are also some large malls opening up throughout 2008. There are three pools, these have no life guards but each pool has a small shallow pool for young children. The local beach is accessible through the Sea Life Hotel. Access will cost you £2.50 per person including towels. Now the same offer applies for the large Regency Hotel complex. Taxis can be ordered to take you to another beach (such as the one in Sharks Bay), Naama Bay or Old Sharm, these are relatively cheap or just flag a little blue mini bus down these are very cheap and go where the taxis go for 50p. Excursions such as Bedouin Dinners or a trip to Moses Mountain can be booked on site. There are a number of top dive companies which will organise local safari trips or other diving excursions to wrecks such as the Thistlegorm. Further details
This is a new site, our blocks are finished and the area is landscaped. There is building in the background to finish the rest of the complex, this is relatively low noise with little machinery operating.
More facilities will become available as time goes on, the pool snack bar is open and staffed by a lovely friendly couple.
The apartment is a no smoking area.
Conditions
The price shown is for up to four people per week, for more just add £20 per week per person. This is less than £25 per day. If you want a daily clean, the cost is £20 for the week. We need £50 non refundable deposit to reserve and full payment (including refundable retainer) at least 30 days before arrival date please. (A refundable retainer of £50 is required to cover keys, damages and breakages).
