About the home

The apartment is part of a newly refurbished house; previously a Victorian gentleman's residence. The building is light and airy and set in two acres of grounds, in a quiet location, close to 'The old Village' Shanklin and adjacent to National Trust land.

The flat contains a double bedroom, a twin room, a double sofabed in lounge if required, balcony, parking, washer/dryer, flat screen TV, DVD, video, music centre, dishwasher and microwave. The open plan living room boasts a large bay window with magnificent uninterrupted sea views over the Solent to the mainland. There is a new kitchen fitted to a high specification and patio doors lead off the living room to a large balcony with seating for drinking in the scenery. There are extensive grounds to wander or sit in with mature trees.

The terrace provides outside space with spectacular sea views across Shanklin and Sandown bays reaching as far as Culver Down. There’s a table and four chairs for maximum enjoyment. There are extensive gardens with seating, within the grounds with various paths. There is a parking space available at the front of the property.

The Island has plenty to keep the family entertained including; a variety of beaches, leisure centres, golf courses, heritage sites, a zoo, Theme Park, Amazon World and museums. A perfect location for outdoor pursuits; walking, cycling, fishing, riding, golf and watersports or merely relaxing and taking in the outstanding sea views.

The Shanklin area

For families, the popular resort of Shanklin with all its services (shops, supermarket, banks, restaurants) is within walking distance and it also provides long sandy beaches.

Shanklin village centre with its wide variety of local shops, supermarkets and amenities is within a fifteen minute walk. Shanklin Old Village is also within walking distance (approx five minutes) and the Esplanade with its sandy beaches is also close by.
