Culver Lodge, Sunrise, is located at 6a Culver Road PO37 6ER, however access is via St Boniface Cliff Road where you will find off road parking for up to three cars. The house is five minutes from Shanklin beach and within walking distance of Shanklin Old Village, it is a newly re-furbished five bedroom Victorian house, originally built in 1855, and is an ideal holiday home for families.

Located next door is a similar refurbished four bedroom house which is also available for holiday accommodation and can be let together or separately.

Shanklin is a real favourite amongst visitors to The Isle of Wight; it is split into three parts:

Firstly there is the main Shanklin Town which is popular for gift shops, banks,

and supermarkets many of them opening until the early evening in peak season.

Then there is Shanklin Old Village which has a small road winding it's way

through it passing more smaller gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs some

of them thatched. It has the famous Crab Inn which features on many fudge boxes

and calendars.

Lastly there is Shanklin's Esplanade and beach which contains hotels, pubs,

beach shops and cafés and some amusements.

Shanklin has a great long beach ideal for families. The lift can be caught to

the higher level where the town and hotels are located.

The town beach has a great mixture; a quiet and picturesque part in the South end, some

amusements and beach shops/cafe's towards and including the Eastern end, a

large beach with deckchairs and benches along the long esplanade, and car

parking. However there is an extensive safe sandy beach that goes from Shanklin to Sandown

A short drive from Culver Lodge brings you to the Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor. There is a crescent shaped beach and seafront with small harbour, enabling you to purchase local seafood.

The Island has many other attractions for families with a variety of beaches, wonderful scenery, cycle ways and footpaths, leisure centres and golf courses. Entertainment and eating places are varied. The house is an ideal base from which to explore.

Bedrooms

The house which has four bedrooms has a mixture of doubles and twin rooms and can accommodate parties of up to 10.

Bedroom 1 Master - 6ft Double Bed En-suite large Bath and over bath shower

Bedrooms 2 & 3 can be twin or king size (5ft)

Bedroom 4 has a 5ft bed with En-suite shower

Bedrooms 5 which is accessed of the lounge, can be twin or king size (5ft)

Please advise at time of booking the bed configuration that is required

There is a family bathroom with a bath and walk in shower, as well as a downstairs cloakroom.

The kitchen is well equipped and dinning has capacity for 10 people to be seated at any one time.

Equally there is enough seating for 10 people on the garden deck.
