The cottage is nestled in the most visited part of Shanklin and situated amoungst thatched roofed properties. Percy Cottage is referred to by visitors as a 'home from home . For those without transport there are bus stops. and a local train station.

Shanklin is a gateway for travelling to all parts of the island. In the winter months it offers visitors fabulous winter and summer rambling walking and cycling activites with access to walkways and cycle tracks around the coast and across the island reaching all areas of the island, The views from all parts of the Island are spectacular in Autumn, Winter and Summer. The numerous viewpoints around the Island enable you to see the whole of the Islands coastline down and across to the South Coast of England.

The cottage is in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. It is a self-catering holiday home. It sleeps between 1 to 4 people. Has 2 bedrooms. There is car parking located nearby. There is a local beach, 3 parks, a bus station and local train station.

Percy Cottage is nestled in the heart of Shanklin Old Village which is connected to Shanklin town on the Isle of Wight. Shanklin Old village has picturesque thatched cottages, gift shops, cafés and restaurants near by (as shown in the pictures). The cottage is also within a 6 minute walk of Shanklin seafront and beach. The seafront provides entertainment for all ages and has a safe sandy beaches. Also within 2 minutes walk distance of the cottage is Shanklin Chine which is known for its waterfall and streams that form the chine gorge, and for the PLUTO Line which was used in World War 2 send fuel across to France for the troops.

The Island provides for all those that enjoy fishing, golf, sailing, hang gliding, sailboarding, cyclilng, and horse riding. The Island also caters for all ages.

The Cottage garden is perfect for sitting, enjoying a barbecue and relaxing in. It is located within walking distance of the original thatched cottages, restaurants, bars and shops of Shanklin. The cottage is suitable for children age 3 and above.

There is nearby car parking. For those without transport bus transportation and local train are nearby.

Gas and Electric are included in the price during the summer months. Cleaning materials, bed linen, tea towels and towels are also provided. Freeview is available.

The cottage has been a popular holiday home for a number of years with many visitors returning on a regular basis. We hope you have a wonderful time.

The cottage is not equipped for children below the age of 3 (due to property not having a stair gate on the internal staircase or cot, high chair etc equipment), is not disabled friendly, smoking is not permitted inside and the owner is not able to take pets.

The Isle of Wight region

Shanklin town and Old village provide places of interest and activities for all ages. The region has plenty of summer activities including fetes, festivals, theatres and local garden shows. Down on Shanklin Esplanade there are sandy beaches, amusement Arcades, Crazy golf & a children's amusement park, restaurants, cafés and Bars. You can even stroll along the esplanade through to Sandown Pier.


Shanklin Chine is a favourite for visitors and is located within a 3 minute walk of the cottage. The local Zoo, Amazon World, Dinasour Isle and may more popular visitors venues are located within a short walk, drive or bus journey.
