Enquire nowThe Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight is one of the most beautiful parts of Britain. Just 23 miles by 13, the Island boasts award winning beaches, unspoilt and spectacular scenery and a rich historical heritage. More than half the Island is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with over 500 miles of award-winning public foot paths and bridleways and almost 30 miles of the seashore has been designated as Heritage Coast. The island currently has 13 award winning beaches, including three blue flag winners, all of which are managed and maintained to the highest standard. In order for the Isle of Wight to gain these awards the beaches have to meet strict criteria as laid down by EnCams. For example the water quality must meet the standards of the Bathing Water Directive. Our beaches and esplanades are inspected daily to ensure that they are clean and safe for our visitors. There are a variety of places to visit on the Island during the autumn and winter months which will suit all ages. If you are looking for a relaxing break enjoy some of the Island's culture & heritage or our museums & galleries and Island arts & crafts. We have fun parks, animal sanctuaries and award winning beaches to extreme sports, carnivals and events, there are an amazing number of attractions and places to visit on the Isle of Wight. Wherever you go on the Isle of Wight you will see evidence of its fascinating past, going back to the time of the dinosaurs. Roman villas, medieval castles, historic houses and dinosaur museums all showcase the Island’s rich heritage. There are plenty of exciting and interesting things to do for visitors of all ages and interests! One of the highlights of any holiday is finding great places to eat and the Isle of Wight has a fantastic array to cater for all tastes and appetites. Eat and drink in an award winning restaurant, a country pub, family friendly establishment, seafront cafe or chocolate – box tearoom. Every town and village has places to tempt you, so indulge yourself and enjoy great food, drink and friendly service. Local Produce Our mellow climate ensures that the Isle of Wight is home to a huge variety of local produce; the freshest seafood straight from the fisherman’s catch, locally brewed beer, wine and cider, organic fruit and vegetables and delicious locally made ice creams and deserts. With over 1000 local, national and international events and concerts the Isle of Wight is the place to be seen, to compete and to party. See a world famous rock star, race a yacht or walk the Wight, then take time out to explore, drink, eat and relax. Throughout the year, see some of the top bands and artists perform at a range of distinct Island music events: The Isle of Wight Festival in June, the Osborne House Concerts in July and The Bestival, the hippy happening of the year, in September. Find your sea legs with free 'Try Sailing' taster sessions available during the various sailing events, or take part in the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival or Isle of Wight Walking Festival including the Walk the Wight. Nowhere in Britain hosts events quite like the Isle of Wight. With a mild climate, a supportive and vibrant local community, a wide range of accommodation, restaurants and pubs, stunning scenery and endless tourist attractions - it's the perfect events venue. It's easy to see why outdoor activities like walking, cycling and sailing are so popular on this small Island; it has over 500 miles of footpaths, around 30 miles of Heritage Coastline while more than half the Island is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And it's not only the international events people flock to. Throughout the year, the Island is alive with local carnival celebrations, confirming its reputation as England's Carnival Island.

This is a lovely house that is great for large groups. There a lots of rooms all of which were spacious and comfortable. The hot tub really helps to make it feel like a five star break! I stayed here with 9 friends and there would easily have been space for a couple more. We all had a great time and were lucky lucky enough to have good weather so we could enjoy the BBQ. |

When we arrived at Rushhouse we were total impressed! The house was very clean and designed to a high level. The reception rooms accommodated us all in the evenings and the owners moved some furniture around so we could all sit together for dinner in the evenings. Although both lounges were spacious . My brother enjoyed the gym area. But I especially loved the family room. We walked to the village and used the discount card the owners left us to eat in the local village thatched pub. Overal we were extremely pleased with Rushhouse and felt it was well priced at about £30 each a night as we stayed in a group of 20 . And we had good contact and assistance from the owners before and during our stay. Great stay |

We rented this house in september with our extended family , it met all our individual needs from our children to my parents in their 80's. We liked the family room were we could all sit together and watch the children outside in the garden. The bedrooms were presented well and the house was lovely and clean. close to the town and seafront. The house was easy to book and keys were ready to pick up on our arrival . |
