Situated in the quiet village of Stainforth the barn has been converted to offer welcoming, good quality accommodation with a four poster bed dominating the stylishly decorated double bedroom. The cottage has been awarded four stars by VisitEngland so those visiting can be assured of quality, comfort and relaxation surrounded by stunning Yorkshire dales scenery in the Ribble Valley. Popular tourist destinations include Malham Cove, Settle and the Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent all within easy reach.

The Northern England / Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales region

The Yorkshire Dales is home to over 1,500 square kilometres of the renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is characterised by its unspoilt Dales villages, patchwork of dry stone walls and stunning fells and dales countryside.
Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region.
This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

The Settle / Stainforth area

Stainforth is a quiet village just outside the market town of Settle. The views from the village are fabulous with Ingleborough and much of the Ribble Valley visible. Walks from the village include to Catrigg Force, Penyghent and a small protected woodland. Opposite the village is the 'Yorkshire Dales Guides' which offer activity days out caving, rock climbing and map reading. Settle is a short drive away and has a weekly market, cafes and restaurants, a supermarket and a selection of unique shops. Malham is within easy reach where a walk to Janet Foss, Malham Tarn and Malham Cove is a must. The larger town of Skipton, 'The Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales' is about 20 minutes drive and has a castle, daily markets and canal walks.
