This apartment is located on the first floor of a well maintained building, with 2 balconies overlooking the main and prettiest square, Place Léon Blum, of the stunning town of Sète.

This spacious apartment has a beautifully fitted kitchen with 2 bright bedrooms, one en-suite and an additional shower room. The living room and adjacent twin bedroom, have double doors leading to balconies overlooking Place Léon Blum.

This is where the flower market takes place every Wednesday and is home to the renowned "octopus" fountain.

Ideally located only 100m from the canals for the annual jousting festival and an easy walk to the local beach, this is the perfect holiday location.

Sète is renowned for its festivals, both in summer and in winter. Winter is great , especially when snow is brought from the Alps to create a ski-slope in the centre of the town, with play areas in the snow for kids and bouncy castles. Christmas markets, street entertainment and fire-work displays make this a magical time to visit. Also, Sete is only 90 minutes from the ski-slope of Mont-Aigouil making it a very easy day-trip.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region

The Languedoc region of the South of France is blessed with over 300 days sunshine a year, with temperature reaching about 30 degrees in the summer months, mid 20's in May, June, September and often October and normally around 15 degrees the rest of the year, barring December and January when temperatures drop but the sky is always a glorious blue.

Within 20 minutes of Sete, you can see a number of stunning towns and villages, each with something special to offer. Bouzigues is the capital of oyster and mussel cultivation on the L'Etang de Thau, a salt water lake. A great place for a leisurely lunch. Marseillan and Meze are well known for their pretty ports and numerous restaurants. A dinosaur museum is located on the outskirts of Meze, accro-branch near Montignac, where all ages can take to the trees. Balaruc-les-Bains is famous for its thermal baths. The stunning city of Montpellier is well worth a visit - only 15 minutes by train, with a number of attractions for children

If you fancy exploring a little further afield, hop on the train to Carcassonne, Perpignan, Beziers, Avignon or even Marseille. Each has something unique to offer.

Alternatively, head for any of the numerous beaches around Sete, with little beach restaurants and sun-loungers. Put your feet up, and enjoy!

Sete area

Sete is located on the Mediterranean in Herault , the prettiest region of the Languedoc. Enjoying over 300 days of sunshine every year, with beaches stretching to over 12 kms, this region is a jewel.

Sete is a stunning town surrounded by canals, stunning beaches and an in-land lake, which is renowned for its
production of oysters and mussels.

The Quai de la Marine and it's restaurants offer a large choice of Sete's specialities, and the canal provides the entertainment with the parade of trawlers and fishing nets splayed out in the sun in all their colourful glory. After a day-out fishing, the trawlers unload the fish onto the quai to be sold at auction. Guided tours of the fishing port and the auction house, are organized by the Tourist Office, with a tasting of local products.

The Mole Saint Louis, built in 1666, 750 metres long, this jetty allows the visitor to stroll in the town centre all the while enjoying the Sea breeze. The Môle also serves as the site for the pleasure boat marina and its 300 moorings.

Sète's 12 kilometres of fine sandy beach separate the Mediterranean sea from the Thau Lagoon, and the beaches has been rewarded with the Pavillon Bleu for water quality for many years.

Sete hosts a number of famous festivals throughout the year, including an Italian festival, Jazz festivals in the stunning Theatre de la Mer, and the famous St. Louis festival at the end of August.

How to get there

Montpellier airport is approxiamately 40 minutes away and is well served by both air and rail. The airport of Montpellier has direct flights from both Stansted with Ryanair and Gatwick with Easyjet. Surrounding airports include:
Beziers (30 mins) - flights from Bristol and London with Ryanair
Perpignan (70 mins)- flights from Manchester with BmiBaby,Stansted and Birmingham with Ryanair and flights from Southampton with Flybe
Carcassonne (90 mins)- flights from Liverpool, Stansted and East Midlands with Ryanair and flights from Cork, Dublin and Shannon with Ryanair
Marseille (2hrs)- flights from Dublin with both Ryanair and Aer Lingus. From the UK, Ryanair has flights from Bournemouth, Glasgow, Stansted, Edinburgh and Manchester and Easyjet has flights from Gatwick and Bristol
Toulouse (2hrs)- flights from Dublin with Aer Lingus. From the UK flights from Bristol and Gatwick with EasyJet, Birmingham with Flybe and Belfast , Edinburgh and Leeds with Jet2.com
Nice (3hrs) - flights from Dublin with Ryanair and Aer Lingus and flights from Cork with Ryanair
Alternatively you could fly to Paris and get the TGV and arrive in Montpellier 3 and a half hours later. The train from Montpellier to Sete takes 15 minutes.

The apartment is exceptionally large, covering over 70 sq.m.

The living and dining areas are very spacious. The large double bedroom is located behind the kitchen with large built in wardrobes and an en-suite shower-room.
