Casa Vista Montanha is a beautiful Algarvian style villa standing on the northern edge of the much sort after Serra e Mar. A very quiet location with stunning views across an unspoilt valley. The wonderful gardens are fully maintained to a very high standard. The one acre of private grounds slope down to the valley. The upper gardens are landscaped and full of flowers, lemon, orange, palm and carob trees. Large terraces on all four sides of the house provide shade or sun all day. A new pergola covers part of the rear terrace (lovely view across the gardens) giving shade when dining. There is also a new built-in barbecue. A good sized pool, which is fenced & gated and has one end separated - all for the safety of younger children. Stunning views from the pool deck! There are sunbathing and sitting areas around the pool deck, complete with sunloungers. Also a pool side shower.

The Algarve region
Casa Vista Montanha has 6 golf courses within a 30 minute drive. Penina is the closest, just a 2-3 minute drive. Palmares is approx. 10-15 minutes drive.
VALE DE MILHO 'Vale De Milho'is an excellent course for beginners whilst giving the more experienced players a chance to concentrate on their short game. Waterfall into a large lake at the second hole.
CARVOEIRO The two 'Carvoeiro' courses. Set in an area of undulating land 'Pinta' & 'Gramacho' are the work of master course designer Ronald Fream. Scattered with almond, carob and olive trees - many centuries old. Pinta is a conventional 18 hole course whilst 'Gramacho' is unique in Europe with 18 tees, 18 greens but only 9 fairways!
PENINA The world famous 'Penina'. This Championship Course is the masterpiece of Sir Henry Cotton and his favourite course. The Portugese Open was held here in both 1998 & 1999.
ALTO CLUB The 'Alto Club' is set in rolling countryside with lovely views to the sea. Again designed by Sir Henry Cotton it features the longest par 5 in Europe.
PALMARES 'Palmares' is a real treat! With spectacular views out over the Bay of Lagos it combines links-style golf on the first 9 holes with a second nine which are slightly more hilly.
BOAVISTA "Boavista' overlooks the Bay of Lagos to one side and the Monchique mountains to the other - it is described as 'a delight to the eye'.In addition to the Championship Course and driving range there is a teaching academy.
Serra e Mar area
Visit Lagos with it's lovely marina & walled old town. Lots of shops & restaurants. Silves has a medieval fort and is surrounded by orange groves. You can take a boat trip from Portimao to Silves - spot the turtles basking on the river bank!
How to get there
Faro airport is the nearest, a very easy 40 minute drive from the villa along the new motorway. We supply a starter car with the property, included in the price -upgrades are available at extra cost. It is waiting at the side of the terminal building upon your arrival. British Airways, Monarch, & Easy Jet all fly into Faro. You could also fly into either Lisbon or Seville and drive down.

Further details indoors: The house is fitted and furnished to a much higher than normal standard. One double bedroom with door to rear terrace and beautiful big hand carved bed. BRAND NEW en-suite with corner bath, under floor heating and music! Two twin bedrooms with a separate BRAND NEW family shower room. Satellite TV's in two bedrooms. A cot is available. Large dining room with wood burning stove. A very large lounge with wide screen satellite TV, video, CD player and wood burning stove. All BRAND NEW furniture including cream leather recliners. A fully fitted NEW kitchen with all NEW appliances. Also a washing machine and drier in the utility room (across the courtyard) which the maid uses for your clothes to save you the trouble. All of the main rooms look out over stunning views. There are two French windows opening from the lounge to the terraces and pool area and one twin bedded room has a door opening to the east terrace. A roomy, well furnished and well laid out villa with every convenience and comfort to make your stay a memorable one. The villa has ample shaded parking areas. The maid comes in 3-5 days a week - does change at different times of year. A baby sitter can usually be arranged with enough notice.
Further details
We also have an English manageress who is just up the road to welcome and assist you in any way she can. A 'welcome pack' of essential groceries for the first day or two is put into the kitchen/fridge just before you arrive to save you the bother of rushing to buy food on your arrival day. This is a very popular villa in a wonderful position, an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy all the Algarve has to offer.
Conditions
Rental Procedure A car is essential here and a Class A car is included in the price and is picked up at the airport and returned to the airport when you leave, thus saving you bus or taxi fares. A larger car or an extra car can be provided at extra cost if required, also roof racks and baby seats. Car, electricity, water, gas, bedding, towels and welcome packs are all provided in the rental. Bring your own soap and beach towels which are not provided. Faro is the local airport (40 mins drive from the villa) and is two and a half hours flying time from the UK.
20% non-returnable deposit with booking. Remainder due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
