If you are a small group or family or are looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful and tranquil base to return to after exploring all that Malta has to offer this is the perfect location for you.
The apartment occupies the first floor of a waterfront buiding. 2 of the 3 balconies enjoy uninterupted views across the Creek. The 3rd overlooks Triq is Sirena, a street as charming as its name suggests.
There are restaurants to suit all budgets, shops and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and more shops in the neighbouring "cities" of Bormla and Birgu (also known as Cospicua and Vittoriosa). There are more restaurants on the Vittoriosa waterfront which is a short walk or an even shorter water taxi ride away. A water taxi ride in a typical maltese Dghajsa is a "must do" and you can be picked up from directly outside the apartment building.
There is a regular bus service from the main square from where you can catch a bus to Valletta and from there to anywhere on the island but again being on the waterfront you can beat the traffic by taking the ferry or a water taxi at very reasonable prices.
Bed linen and towels are supplied. For those staying longer than a week a maid service can be offered at an extra cost. A welcome pack consisting of essential information and provisions for your first few hours will be there when you arrive.

The Island of Malta region
Malta lies just South of the island of Sicily in the Mediteranean sea and enjoys on average 300 days of sunshine a year. It is a popular tourist destination with a rich cultural history and an hospitable population. For such a small island it has a surprisingly large number of interesting places to visit. Not only does it offer spectacular coastal scenery but a great many places of historic interest. Valetta and the 3 cities (one of which is Senglea) are of particular historic significance.
The island is one of the most popular international destinations for scuba divers both for wreck diving and for its beautiful underwater landscapes and sealife. All other water sports are on offer all over the island. There is a golf course nearby.
The cuisine is typically mediteranean and there are a vast number of restaurants, bars and nightclubs for the more nocturnal visitor to enjoy.
The main beaches are in the North West of the island about 20km away. It will take about half an hour to reach Golden Bay so if that is on your itinerary a car is advisable. Car hire on the island is very reasonably priced.
A day trip to Gozo is highly reccomended and there are regular ferries to Gozo from Valetta.
Nowadays Senglea and the 3 cities is tranquil and peaceful and as such the ideal retreat after a day or night of exploration, adventure and entertainment. By contrast its history has witnessed much conflict because of its unique position overlooking the capital Valletta across Grand Harbour. The original observation position above Senglea point is an iconic image in itself and now stands in the very aptly named Safe Haven gardens which is a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.
Two of the most significant events in the history of conflict involving Senglea are the siege of 1565 and its almost complete destruction by arial bombing during world war 2. The impressive city walls, ramparts and bastions which surround the 3 cities are evidence of these less settled times.
Dockland (or Galley) creek which lies between Senglea and Vittoriosa was the Maltese base of the British Navy from 1799 to 1979 and what was once the British Navy bakery on the waterfront of Vittorioa has been converted into a very impressive maritime museum. Other attractions include the Inquisitor's Palace, the Malta at War museum and the Parish Church museum in Vittoriosa.
There are 4 equally impressive churches in the 3 cities 2 of which are in Senglea which hosts 2 main festivals each year on the 31st March and the 8th September. These are spectacular events which ought not to be missed and co-incide with the Regattas in Grand Harbour. Each of the Three Cities also stages its own Easter Festa.

"Property in Senglea, Malta"
Great apartment with excellent views overlooking the creek. It had everything we needed and was only 2 minutes walk from several good restaurants.

"Fantastic apartment with great views"
Excellent apartment with brilliant views over the creek, in a good location in the quiet resort of Senglea (Isla). Good choice of restaurants would especially recommend Enchante, Marina and Slaneys. Within easy walking distance of the ferry to Valetta, the War Museum and Maritime Museum (both highly recommended) in Vittoriosa. Brilliant fortnight in this apartment and will definitely return.

We had a lovely holiday staying at this very well equipped and spacious apartment. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The views from the balconies, as others have said, are beautiful and it was so relaxing to sit and watch the boats after a busy day exploring Malta. Senglea itself is a charming place to stay - tranquil but with everything you might need virtually on your doorstep. There are numerous small shops for provisions and going into them was rather like stepping back in time. No need for a large supermarket here! The bus service in Malta is very reliable and inexpensive and we used the buses frequently. You can get virtually anywhere in Malta on them. There is so much to see and do here that it's impossible to get bored. We stayed for 10 nights and could quite happily have stayed longer as we enjoyed it so much. Vince the owner is, like the apartment, perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he responded to all queries in super-quick time. Thank you Vince. It is very reassuring when renting an apartment to deal with such a helpful and conscientious owner. You can honestly book this accommodation with complete confidence. We would, of course, unhesitatingly recommend this apartment and would very much love to return ourselves one day.

"A fascinating place for a holiday living among the locals"
Right in the centre of all that is happening in Senglea. The location, layout and design of this spacious apartment make it excellent accommodation to spend a lot of time, rather than just a base for exploring Malta. The balconies offer spectacular views across the creek and down the waterfront. Right outside are many good low cost restuarants, spots for swimming and the ferry to Valletta which is only a couple of euros for a return trip. It's great to step out the front door and be somewhere.

"Flat with a view"
Good base for exploring Malta, easy access to water taxi to Valletta, not a touristy location but enough restaurants/cafes/shops to meet your requirements. It was incredibly hot when we were there, good layout of the flat-central kitchen, good sized bedrooms & lounge. Balconies have great views, Senglea point is just a short walk away. We were visiting family in Marsascala & found the direct bus from cospicua very handy. Welcome pack very useful & Vince very helpful in making arrangements for our visit.

"Worth every penny"
This is a lovely apartment with plenty of space with a wonderful water view. We found that the only thing missing for comfort was air conditioning! We found that the fans just didn't give sufficient relief in the apartment especially at night. We were there in September, so the hotter months would probably be worse. The front door locking system took a great deal of patience, but once we found the knack of which ways to turn the key it became a little easier. Also the lighting in the kitchen could be better. Having said all this, Senglia is very peaceful and it was lovely to live and make friends with the locals. We would definitely stay at this apartment again, but in the cooler months. Even though there are some negative points to make, overall the apartment was most comfortable.
We take on board the comments about the kitchen lighting and the heat issue. We'll be installing under cabinet kitchen lights in time for Spring 2013. There are planning issues in relation to installing the aircon units on the exterior of the aparment building so we'll be installing internal shutters (also in time for next Spring) to reduce the build up of heat during the day which ought to make the evenings cooler and give the fans les work to do.

This is a fantastic apartment in a stunning location! We had a fantastic stay in this apartment in Senglea. We spent many hours sitting on the balcony watching the boats go by and wishing we had one!! The apartment itself is very well equipped and contains some lovely pieces of furniture. Vince made the rental very easy and without a shadow of a doubt we will be returning to Senglea to stay in this lovely apartment!

"Living among the Maltese"
Many thanks to Vince for the superb service. He was prompt with emails and answering texts so that any little query could be sorted immediately. I felt very secure with this booking, especially as we had not stayed self catering before. The apartment: Beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. There were DVDs (we watched the Malta Story), games, books, DVD player, TV and the internet. There were 3 lovely balconies, 2 with amazing views over the marina and sitting on them watching the world go by was bliss. There was only one problem with the apartment and that was the heat...we were there when it was extraordinarily hot and whilst the fans did their best it was still hot at night. The location: right in the heart of everything with the locals going about their business in an ordinary way. It was wonderful to see them meeting friends, playing bingo, promenading and eating out. The children swam and played whilst the older ones drove around in their cars with their music on. Parking was easy and the supermarket not too far. We did get a bit lost trying to find Senglea as it wasn't on the signposts...make sure you look for 3 cities or Isla. Top tip: follow signs for Fort Rinola where you will find a small and very quiet inlet with a sandy beach and lovely swimming.
