The antique ‘joglo’ is the centrepiece of this magnificent property. The Joglo was originally located in Demak, Central Java, an area famous for its skilled artisans who spent their days intricately carving fine timber houses. Destined to be demolished, the owners rescued it and waited until the perfect site was available to rebuild. Transporting each piece to Bali, the Joglo was transformed as the social centrepiece of what has become one of the most unique properties on the island, steeped in time honoured tradition.
Combining nostalgic luxury in their 3 bungalows, the five star plus service is at the heart of VILLA DES INDES promise to guests. Employing only the highest trained English speaking staff, VILLA DES INDES focuses on attentive yet discrete service. Unobtrusively housed behind the free standing bar pavilion your butler, waiting staff and chef are always at hand to assist with any personal requirements.
An eclectic mix of Asian and Western cuisine is served in VILLA DES INDES . Having your own personal chef and waiting staff makes it simple to cater for any personal dining requirements. The owners have a passion to preserve and share the rich heritage of Indonesian culture and have spent over thirty-seven years collecting museum quality antiques. Every piece throughout VILLA DES INDES has it’s own story from the extensive collection of Balinese art and artifacts, curios and works of art to the Dutch safes, plantation chairs and original pre World War II travel posters.

The Bali region
Bali's has endless sandy beaches,well known among surfers, picturesque rice terraces, fast flowing rivers, crater lakes, sacred caves, and tropical forests full of exotic wildlife. Active volcanoes are still existent in Bali too and add to the many natural attractions.
The island's rich cultural heritage is also visible in the many temples and palaces along with the colourful festivals and ceremonies made up of traditional music and dance.
Bali has pleasant day temperatures between up to 33 degrees Celsius or 68 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit all year-round.
Seminyak area
If you care to venture out of VILLA DES INDES there is a multitude of activities and experiences on offer to satisfy every desire from nearby Hindu temples, traditional dance performances to yacht charters to nearby islands or horse riding on the sprawling white sand beach nearby. Simply consult your butler who will assist with all arrangements.

All guests staying at Villa Des Indes are picked up from the Denpasar international airport, Ngurah Rai. The transfer is complimentary and takes only 20 minutes.
