About the home

If you want a romantic weekend hideaway or a family holiday, this is for you. The secluded log cabin is set in a terrace of almond trees at the foot of the stunning Castellet Mountains. If you want company there is a Bar/restaurant on site run by the same owners in their restored rustic farmhouse.

The area is ideal for walking, climbing, bike riding and general exploring. Our local ´typically Spanish' village of Sella is renouned as a centre for rock climbing as well having several bars and restaurants, a small twice-weekly market and an open air Summer pool. A variety of beautiful beaches are only a 15 minute drive away..

Two bedrooms, one double, the other containing two large single beds, are separated by a kitchen/diner which also contains a comfortable settee. The double bedroom has a settee and can also have a cot or additional single bed added at no extra charge.

For your relaxing moments, there is a loggia, with views to the mountain, which contains a wicker settee, two comfortable chairs and a coffee table. It is the perfect place to enjoy that morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

Wi-fi and a washing machine is available at the main farmhouse for the free use of our cabin guests.

Your secluded private garden has a pergola with wooden table and chairs for ´al fresco' dining. Forestry regulations do not allow barbecues at the cabin but you are welcome to use the free dedicated barbecue area at the main farmhouse.

There is no smoking in the cabin itself but smoking is permitted in the comfortable sheltered loggia.

25% deposit required at time of booking, please. Full payment is due one calendar month before the date of your holiday.
A 50GBP or 50€ refundable breakages deposit is payable on arrival. It will be returned to you on your departure.

Our area of the Costa Blanca has been designated the healthiest place to live by the World Health Organisation......... and our valley has been rated as the nearest thing to Parasise by our visitors, so it is the ideal place to spend your holiday.

Nearby attractions include rock climbing in Sella (see www.rockfax.com), the caves at Busot, beaches at Villajoyosa and La Cala Bay, our unspoit, typically Spanish, village of Sella. Aqualandia water theme park, Terra Mitica theme Park, Aitana animal Safari Park and Terra Natura animal Theme Park are nearby.

Our local villages of Sella and Orcheta have several bars and restaurants. Both have anopen air swimming pool, twice weekly street markets and festivals too numerous to mention.

If flying, take Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair or Jet2 to Alicante Airport. Book car hire before you fly using one of the online comparison websites (Google: car hire Alicante Airport).

Take the A70/A7 north in the direction Valencia/Benidorm. Exit 66 (Villajoyosa). After toll booths (2.45€) turn right at roundabout (direction Sella CV770). Pass Orcheta village and after 1km turn right CV758 direction Finestrat. Travel 0.5km and turn left on the little bridge at the bottom of the hill. travel 3.5km and you will find us on the right hand side.

“Tranquil, amazing views and wonderful people” We had a wonderful time staying at Charquer 27. The log cabin was lovely, located at the bottom of the mountain, quiet and idyllic setting. Jeanette and Pete are lovely people, made us feel very welcome and at home. We had the three course dinner which was superb. I would highly recommend Charquer 27 to anyone, such amazing place and people. Thank you again to you both and hope to see you again soon.

“A relaxing break in an beautiful loation, and excellent hosts.” My girlfriend and I wanted to go to the Sella area for a rock climbing and walking break. We decided to stay at Charquer 27 (we actually stayed B&B in the farmhouse), which was a great choice. The farmhouse has a charming rural feel, and is situated in a beautiful location amongst the mountains with views down to the sea in the distance. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we had access to a comfortable lounge. Breakfast was made for us each morning (cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee), and we chose to eat at Charquer 27 several evenings, with a great value, tastey, home cooked three course meal. There was also a bar with a range of beers and wines to enjoy after dinner. Pete and Jeanette - our hosts - were very accomodating, always being available if we needed anything, and giving us information on the local area. All this came for a very good value price. We would highly recommend Charquer 27, and are thinking of going back ourselves.

“Perfect for climbers in a central location” The cabin is situated in a beautifull valley just 10 minutes from the climbing mecca in Sella, sierra de Toix Echo valley and many other areas are only a short drive away. Jeanette and Pete were fantastic hosts making us feel welcome and also providing fantastic food upon request. As well as the cabin there is also 4 x twin bedroom rooms with a lounge area making Charquer 27 perfect for groups and families looking for a rural retreat in a stunning mountain valley.

“Superb central location for a climbing trip” I have just returned from a long weekend climbing trip staying in this cabin. The cabin was in a great location central to a number of fantastic sport climbing crags. Sella is only a 10min drive that takes in some fantastic scenery. The people at Charquer 27 were friendly and welcoming and having dinner cooked for us at the end of the day with a cold beer was great. I can recommend this to anyone planning a climbing trip on the Costa Blanca that wants to be in the mountains as opposed to in a cheap high rise hotel in Benidorm.

“Peace, Calm and Tranquility in Natural Surroundings.” Pete and Jeanette were perfect hosts in a beautiful valley. For walkers and climbers there is a lot to do in the area and with the added bonus of the warm sea less than 30 mins away, the Log Cabin is the perfect accommodation for those who like to look after themselves. Don't forget your walking or climbing guide book....
