The Paris/Ile de France region
The Château de La Trousse is located in the Seine-et-Marne departément part of the Ile de France, Paris metropolitan region. The area is home to some of the most famous tourist attractions in France, including Euro Disney, the champagne wine region the Fontainebleau palace and many others.
Seine-et-Marne is one of the original 83 departments, created on March 4, 1790 during the French Revolution in application of the law of December 22, 1789. It had previously belonged to the former province of Île-de-France.
Seine-et-Marne is known for its temperate climate,and it has some well known main attractions such as Disneyland Resort Paris holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée, 32 kilometres east of Paris, France. The complex features two theme parks, an entertainment district and seven resort hotels.
This coupled with the Champagne region makes it a great family holiday to sample all that they have to offer.
Seine et Marne District
Disney land paris can conjur up dreams for all ages, young and old. For those who wish to taste the world renowned wines and champagnes that are available this presents an opportunity to do so.
On the artistic front, the medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing has featured in many an impressionist painting. Alfred Sisley, the English impressionist, spent 20 years here painting the town, river and surrounding countryside. The town also boasts a museum chronicling the development of the bicycle. The local nuns used to make Barley sugar and it is still produced in the musuem to this day!
Paris - 45 minutes to Notre Dame by train & metro The Champagne region - 10 minutes drive. to reach the Champagne towns of Reims & Epérnay -its a 30 minutes drive. there are many Antique markets & Depot Ventes all over. If you wish to go to Euro Disney its a 20 minutes drive. (5 junctions along A4 motorway) The Park Asterix is a 45 minutes drive. Town with large supermarket, restaurants, & train station to Paris - 5 minutes drive.
Golf, Seine et Marne has 14 golf courses, many chances to play should you wish. Marne River & Orquc canal are also 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk
For those of you that like a flutter the Racecourse at Chantilly is a 1 hour drive. 1st World War Memorials and battlefields at Chateau Tierry are a 20 minutes drive. And there is the Lake with sandy beach is a 1 hour drive.

Distances from local rail stations/airports/ports Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 70 km (Take the A1 to the A104 to the A4 to Nancy, Get off at the Lizy sur Ourcq exit. Drive north about 5 km until you see a World War ! memorial on the right and the tree-lined entrance to the Château on the left. Turn left and go about 1 km to reach the Château) Train station in Lizy sur Ourcq is 1.5 km (6 trains to Paris daily) NEAREST LARGE TOWNS - Meaux (to the SW), Chateau Thierry (to the NE) NEAREST SMALL TOWNS - Lizy sur Ourcq & Mary sur Marne NEAREST AIRPORT - Charles de Gaulle 40 mins drive NEAREST TRAIN STATION - Lizy sur Ourcq or Trilport or Meaux There are lots of places to walk or cycle to, though we would strongly recommend you have a car.

All bed linen is supplied along with towels and tea towels. There is a caretaker at the property who will let you in and supply keys etc.
Conditions
A deposit is required to hold the apartment. The balance will be due 30 days before arrival. A key and property deposit of €150 in cash is required upon arrival and will be refunded with surrender of the keys and certification that the property is in good order upon departure. Payment can be made by PayPal or credit card. If you prefer, payment can also be made by check, at least 30 days before arrival..

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights

If more than 2 people are staying, there's an additional charge of €10, £7, $14 per night per additional person (and we have to do this also for each pet).
We ask for payment in full before arrival, and for euros on arrival for the damages deposit and, on departure, for the cleaning fee. Otherwise, we can accept payment in dollars or euros with no conversion charge, and we accept any currency if you pay for conversion. Personal checks (at least 30 days early), cashier's checks, money orders, direct bank transfers, are best for us, and we accept Paypal, VISA, and Mastercard as well.
The caretaker will collect €150 (about £102 or $190, but we ask for it in euros) on arrival as a damages deposit, & she refunds it when you leave. We've never yet charged anyone for damage. Cleaning charge when you leave is €30 (about £20 or $39, but we ask for it in euros). Reserving or holding your dates is £102/$190/€150, and of course it's deducted from your charges when you pay in full.
