Maluarca is situated on the fringe of Seignosse Bourg. Quiet and peaceful yet only 5 minutes from Capbreton and Hossegor with their excellent restaurants, shopping,markets and harbour and summertime nightlife. Spain,the Pyrenees and the wonderful old Spanish City of San Sebastian are all within an hour and a halfs drive.Another half hour or so takes you to Bilbao,where the Guggenheim Museum is situated,also the world famous surfing location of Mundaka. . Surfer and Golfers can especially benefit from the excellent off season charges on the golf courses and spectacular surf conditions not for the faint hearted! The light and airy accommodation opens with french doors from one double bedroom and the lounge onto the garden with outdoor furniture and decked pool area.The lounge with comfortable sofa and furnishings opens onto airy fitted kitchen with dining table. Complete bathroom and separate toilet, 2nd double bedroom. Adjacent to the apartment there is an open covered BBQ/eating area with lawn leading on to the pool With twenty four hours notice we can offer superb poolside catering prepared by Terri who has twenty years experience in the restaurant trade with particular expertise in Spanish cuisine. A plus for the musically inclined! The owner is a guitar teacher of great experience and excellent reputation teaching from beginner to advanced level.If playing the guitar is something you have always wanted to do but never quite got around to it why not combine your stay at Malaurca with some guitar tuition.Bring your own guitar or we can loan one.Lessons are priced at 30 euros per hour and can be poolside or in the main house.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region

The Fountain discharges its waters at 2,600 m3 at 63" making it the largest in France Towards the southern end of this region where the sandy beaches suddenly rise to high cliffs and inlets with a backdrop of the Pyrenees there are wonderful places to visit such as Bayonne with its inner fortified walls, St. Jean de Luz, Biarritz for centuries playground of the rich and famous offer superb cuisine, al fresco dining, shopping and excellent nightlife in a wonderfully warm and relaxed atmoshpere. Nothing quite prepares one though for the humbling experience of spending a day in the Pyrenees National Park. With its misty peaks and lush green foothills, masses of waterfalls and endless forests where beauty abounds, is truely an experience not to be missed
Seignosse area
Shady Pine Forests and peaceful lakes protected by Natural Reserves lead down to spotlessly clean, undulating sandy beaches that spread far to the North and South in this unique corner of South West France. It is a haven for wild life and natural that offers seclusion or an endless choice of activities to suit all ages. Seignosse being only 30 minutes drive from Biarritz Airport is typical of this region offering main amenities and within 15 minutes walk excellent restaurants. Celebrating locally their many Fetes through the high season of July & August, the bustle & colour of the night markets provides an entertaining, happy atmosphere as one partakes of the French high holiday season. Seingosse's location is perfectly situated to take advantage of the many attratctions this region has to offer. With its excellent cuisine ( Foie Gras, Confit de Canard). superb wines (Chalosse, Tursan..). one can indulge all the senses.. Renowned for its excellent Surfing conditions, with notably some of the best Beach breaks in the world, the French Leg of the World Championship Tour takes place in Hossegor in late September drawing huge audiences with excellent viewing of the shore breaks. These exceptional surf conditions can be enjoyed 8 months of the year from March - November. Even during the cooler winter months of December, January & February surfing is possible with only a 4mm wetsuit & booties. At Seignosse there are several Surf Schools offering tuition at al levels and the hiring of equipment is reasonable. Arrangements can be made for you prior to your arrival. On the lakes of Soustons & Hossegor there are Wind Surfing & Sailing Schools that offer expert tuition & affordable equipment hire. Within 5 minutes drive you can be on one of France's premier Golf Courses at Seignosse. the Club has recently been rated as one of the top 25 Courses in Europe. Set in the Pine forest the course has been especially designed to blend with the natural beauty of the area offering a challenging yet rewarding course. There are within 45 minutes / 1 hours drive another 20 or so World Class Golf Clubs including some of France's most established such as Golf De Biarritz (1889) & Golf De Hossegor (1930). Golf de Biarritz offer a special 5 day pass to visit a different club each day. Low season 198 Euros, HIgh season 250 Euros (7th July-31st. August) per person. In the low seson one can obtain a weekend pass for two rounds of Golf for 80 Euros. Neighbouring Capbreton (10 minutes drive) has the typical charecteristics traditons and culture of a Landaise town with its old buildings, town square, church, shops and market .
