Casa Olivastra is built on the ruins of an ancient convent on the edge of Val d'Orcia. An ideal base to visit some of the most attractive towns in Tuscany . The house has been architecturally designed so that each room has its own unique view &terrace.The illuminated pool is 1.2 m deep & ideal for children & adults. The accommodation is on 3 levels.

Large living room with leather sofas and marble table and traditional Tuscan fireplace, stone archway leading to dining room and kitchen with large travertine dining table. Large arched windows afford beautiful views over the valley.

First floor:

Master bedroom with king size bed and its own arched terrace.

Double bedroom with private roof terrace.

The Tuscany region

Casa Olivastra is on the edge of Val d'Orcia & the foothills of Monte Amiata .Mention Tuscany, this is the region that readily comes to mind, the rolling Sienese hills, studded with medieval hilltowns & trimmed with avenues of cypress trees. The classic views of Tuscany, its vineyards & olive groves can all be found here with sunflower filled fields scattered with poppies. (See the pictures)

Monasteries are a major attraction of the area Sant, Antimo & Monte Oliveto Maggiore are two of Tuscany's most beautiful .The thermal springs & spas with warm open air bathing pools are equally spectacular. A drive through the sunflower fields of the Marrema to the Tuscan coast (1.5 hrs) means countryside & coast can both be enjoyed.


Seggiano, a medieval hilltop village, well known for its olive oil, honey and cheese. 5 minutes drive away with restaurants, small supermarket (which meets all daily needs), superb homemade pasta and bread, wine bar and bank. More facilities at Castel del Piano - 6km. Also restaurant at Villa Gaia which also benefits from a thermal pool and alternative therapies(.1 km)


Montalcino - this perfect pocket hill town produces some of Tuscany's finest wines as well as some of its finest views.

Sant 'Antimo - a 7th century beautiful abbey in an idyllic pastoral setting - you can still hear Gregorian chants

Bagno Vignoni - an atmospheric village with thermal pools, Roman baths and spa.

Pienza - a picture perfect Renaissance town with stunning architecture in a classic Tuscan landscape

Montepulciano - one of the highest and good looking towns renowned for vino nobile

Siena - surrounded by the Chianti hills, Tuscany's crowning jewel. The Piazza is one of the most beautiful in Italy.

The Etruscan coast - Monte Argentario - an exclusive coastal gem with chic seaside resorts and emerald waters.

Monte Amiata - ski resort (January - March) - 12 ski lifts and down hill trails through chestnut forests

Saturnia -immerse yourself in open- air rock pools below warm cascades.
