VILLA AKANTHOU is located near Paphos and has views along the coastline. The Villa is a Fabulous, Spacious Air-Conditioned Three Bedroom VILLA set on a 700 sq.m Landscaped Plot with a Large Private Swimming Pool (9m x 4m) with a Built-in BBQ area. The villa is the ideal place for golf lovers, romantic holidays or for families and friends.
Everything is tastefully furnished and decorated to a very high standard - even down to the Linen!!
As there are 3 Bathroom / Shower Rooms - this is an ideal Villa for 3 couples to share or a family.
We want to provide our guests with above average accommodation that is meticulously clean and at VILLA AKANTHOU this is what it is all about. There is so much space for eating "Al Fresco" and cooking great meals on the BBQ and with the weather in Cyprus being so predictable, you will probably want to spend as much time as possible outside which is why the outdoor facilities at this Villa will make your holiday very, very special.

There are fantastic Tavernas in nearby Kouklia village, which is only a 5 minute drive away from villa.
There are Three Great Golf Courses on your doorstep - you are just 2 minutes drive to the Secret Valley Golf club, 5 minutes from Aphrodite Hills Golf, Hotel and Leisure complex, and 20 minutes from Tsada Golf club:
SECRET VALLEY, is a challenging 5,900-metre par 71 course with fabulous views. Peak rates; £30 per round during 16th Sep to 15th May. Clubs £8 to rent. Individual lessons are available from resident PGA Professional at £25 per hour of 1 or 2 people. Golf practice areas.
APHRODITE HILLS is 5 minutes drive from villa. It is an even more challenging 6,200 metre, Par 72 course. Peak rates; £60 including shared buggy. Handicap certificate required. Excellent practice facilities and PGA professionals. Clubs £20 to rent.
TSADA – Is 20 minutes drive from the villa. Fees and facilities similar to Secret Valley. 6,000 metre, par 71 course set high is the hills.
With all of these courses playable in sunshine almost all year round, you are spoilt for choice and while you are playing golf there is still lots to do back at the Villa for the rest of the Family enjoying a Private Pool and great surroundings!

The Paphos District
Cyprus is one of Europe’s favourite holiday destinations. With friendly English-speaking locals, excellent food and wine and over 5,000 years of history, what more could you want! Add to that the near-zero crime rate, the fact you can drive on the left, drink most tap-water and plug in your UK electrical appliances with no adaptors, you’ll understand why Cyprus promises to give you one of the most trouble-free, friendly, enjoyable memorable holidays you will ever have!
There is the Castle of Paphos to see, originally built as a Byzantine fort to protect the harbour and rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 13th century. It was dismantled by the Venetians who were unable to defend it against the Ottomans, who then restored it after they captured the island. Cyprus is steeped in history with so many buildings, churches, etc. to see.
You can explore Aphrodite’s Rock, the Tomb of the Kings, beaches, water-sports, the water-park and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Paphos, 15 minutes drive away, with its harbour, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Alternatively, savour the excellent food and wines in the quieter tavernas in nearby Pissouri and Kouklia with their gentle and friendly character.
Secret Valley Resort area
The Secret Valley Golf Club is probably the most prestigious golf course in Cyprus, located in the famous area of Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite, 18km east of Paphos and 49km west of Limassol.
Opened in 1996, the Secret Valley golf course, designed by Iacovos Iacovou, nestles in a scenic valley, surrounded by grand trees which add an aura of maturity to this fairly new golf course. The Sty Kingly rock formation offers panoramic views, giving golfers both the beauty of nature and the pleasure of golf.
The golf course measures 5,904m and plays to a par 71, and players without a handicap certificate can play after noon on request, depending on availability.
The facilities at the Secret Valley clubhouse in Cyprus offer a fully stocked pro shop, locker rooms, bar, a restaurant with verandas overlooking the golf course, putting greens, chipping areas, fairway bunkers, a large driving range, buggy rental, trolley rental (electrical and manual) and locker rental. Tuition is tailored to individual needs and can be conducted on a one-to-one or group basis.
For those who would like to explore Cyprus further, there is a myriad of restaurants and bars in downtown Paphos to enjoy day or night.
How to get there
The Nearest Airport is PAPHOS which is 10 minutes drive from the Villa on the new A6 towards Limassol. Larnaca Airport is 1hr 15 mins.

Further details indoors: Downstairs has a Spacious Open Plan Lounge extending to a dining area for 6/8 people with Home Entertainment supplied by a 37" LCD TV which has Satalite TV installed, DVD, Video and CD Player. There is also a Playstaion 2 Console plus Games
The Kitchen area is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. There is also a ground floor double bedroom together with shower-room and toilet. There is a utility room with washing machine, condensing tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
Upstairs, there is a Master bedroom with an en suite bathroom, this leads on to a large furnished veranda with beautiful views. There is a further bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom with toilet. At the rear of the Villa there is a large veranda with lovely views. All bedrooms contain ample built-in wardrobe space.
A Travel Cot is available as well as a High Chair.
There is an Alarm System installed as well as an Electronic Key Coded Safe for your use.
The Villa Sleeps 6 in comfort.
Further details outdoors: Set in 700 sq m of Landscaped Private Gardens with Private Swimming Pool 9m x 4m Plus an After Swim Shower and a dedicated BBQ area - there are areas of Terracing surrounding the Villa with Outdoor Lighting as well as Verandas located on different floor levels - all with fantastic views.
There is also a roof terrace with spectacular sea and mountain views - in fact there are views everywhere - from the terraces, verandas or the roof terrace.

You will notice our rental costs are very reasonable for a Villa furnished and decorated to the standard of Villa Akanthou with all its private facilities (Villas of this standard can cost in excess of £1000 per week in high season).
The price includes Air Conditioning, Linen and Towels plus a Welcome Pack on Arrival.
For guests staying for longer than one week a change of linen and towels is also included - this change is repeated at the end of a second week for guests staying for a period of 3 weeks.
LONG TERM LETS ARE AVAILABLE (minimum 3 weeks) - from 1 NOVEMBER - End of FEBRUARY - INCLUDES ALL BILLS with the exception of mid-term linen and towels - these can be laundered via separate negotiation.
Conditions
To reserve dates, a reservation deposit of £100.00 (GB Pounds) will be required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by the client. The balance of the total rental cost to be paid a minimum of 6 weeks before occupancy commences. Late bookings, and bookings of less than one week's occupancy are to be paid in full at time of booking.
The rental tariff is per week (not per person) and includes:-
Air Conditioning Linen Towels Welcome Pack on Arrival A change of linen and towels is also included if staying for longer than a week
A refundable breakages deposit of £200 is required when paying the balance of your holiday cost, this will be refunded within 10 days of your departure subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
The rates are based on a weekly stay for up to 6 people.
Late deals are always available - just ask me!!
If staying for longer than 3 weeks - special rates are available - you might be house hunting or having an extended holiday or playing a lot of Golf!! - again just ask me!!
