The Paphos District

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean, and enjoys hot summers and mild winters giving an average of 340 sunshine days per year. A popular destination due to the proximity and convenience for the airport, Paphos and the surrounding area has much to offer the visitor on all levels. Sand, sea, blue skies and plentiful beaches offer traditional holiday enjoyment whilst the mountain ranges, wildlife, golf courses and archaeological treasures offer appealing alternatives in both winter and summer.


Secret Valley Resort / Ha Potami Phase B area

The villa is located on the prestigous Secret Valley golf resort, and is part of the exclusive Ha Potami golf properties estate, built on the side of the valley and offering stunning views to the Mediterranean to the south.

The Secret Valley golf course is adjacent to the Ha Potami residential area, located naturally in the valley with stunning views of the coloured rock formations, from both the course and clubhouse. Excellent pro shop and clubhouse facilities, with a wonderful terrace offering stunning views of the valley and beyond. The club offers an excellent menu and is worth visiting on Sundays for the carvery special.

The Aphrodite Hills 5 star golf complex is also only 5 minutes away by car and offers premium facilities. These include 18 hole championship golf course (6299 yards, Par 71), practice course and driving range complemented by a number of restaurants, bars, pizza house and coffee shop. There are also a number of clothing outlets and a small art gallery within the complex.

Nearby Kouklia village is a wonderful traditional Cypriot village with a small number of tavernas and shops plus a supermarket where you can buy provisions. The best of the tavernas is probably "Thanasis Place" where you can enjoy good food plus traditional live music and dancing on a Saturday. Kouklia is also of cultural interest as it is home to the "Sanctuary of Aphrodite" which is worth a visit.

Nearest beaches are at Petra Tou Romiou or "Aphrodite’s Rock" which offers basic facilities including a small taverna. A 15 minute drive away is Pissouri where you can find watersports on offer, including water skiing, parascending and jet skiing. Also a great place to visit in the evening where there are numerous excellent restaurants and tavernas offering an array of different cuisines.

Around 30 minutes drive away to the east on the A6 expressway is Limassol – one of Cyprus' larger resorts offering excellent tourist amenities plus an extensive range of shops and department stores.

Around 20km away to the west, Paphos is split into two distinct areas, the old town (Ktima) on the hill being a vibrant market town retaining much of the traditional Cypriot charm and character, whilst the port area of Kato Paphos is distinctly more tourist orientated with an array of bars, clubs and restaurants. The harbour is a wonderful place to relax over lunch and a drink with wonderful views of the coastline and the Mediterranean sea. The Paphos area is served by numerous beaches, the best of which is at Coral Bay, served by a regular bus service from Paphos and well worth a visit. Cultural sites include the Harbour and Medieval Fort, Paphos Mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings.
Other places of interest in the region include Kykko Monastery, Akamas National Park and the Troodos Mountains.


How to get there

The Villa is a 15 minute drive from Paphos airport, with scheduled and charter flights from the UK by British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Excel and Helios plus other tour operators including Thomson, Thomas Cook, Airtours and First Choice.
We can arrange for airport transfers to and from the villa if required, though we do advise car hire for all our guests.
Car hire is available at the airport, and we recommend our guests pre-arrange this prior to departure from the UK.

The accommodation features a large living and dining area with views to the rear of the property overlooking the pool and landscaped garden area. The living area features two large leather sofas and resting unit, whilst the dining area allows you to admire the stunning views over the pool terrace and beyond. A flat screen HD TV and home cinema kit takes care of indoor entertainment requirements, which also includes a full UK Sky TV package. The fully fitted kitchen features built-in hob and extractor fan, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Upstairs, the 3 bedrooms all feature twin beds, dresser units and built-in wardrobe units to provide ample storage space, whilst the master bedroom boasts en-suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool, with views to the Mediterranean sea. All of the single beds can be made up as doubles depending on occupancy. The luxury main guest bathroom features a WC, bath with shower over, and wash basin, plus a glazed shower screen for your convenience.
All main rooms feature air-conditioning and ceiling fans to maintain a comfortable room temperature indoors whatever the time of year.
