The Isle of Wight region

The Isle of Wight is situated approximately 3 miles off the English Southern Coastline. It is known for its breathtaking scenery with much of the Island being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Island first became popular as a holiday destination during Victorian times and its unique charm still entices over 2.5 million visitors each year. It is quite easy to appreciate why the Island attracts so many, with its scenic coastline, award winning golden beaches, charming little villages and temperate climate – in fact the Island can boast more hours of sunshine than most other destinations in Britain.

For the more energetic, the Island offers over 500 miles of maintained footpaths which makes it ideal for walkers and cyclists alike. The Islands towns offer a comprehensive range of shops and amenities including many 'High Street' names together with popular cafes, bars and restaurants - some even being awarded the 'Michelin Star'. All in all the Island is a wonderful holiday destination, catering for all ages and with activities for all interests.

Seaview Village

Seaview is a picturesque village of unspoilt charm, situated on the east coast of the Isle of Wight. The village of Seaview is aptly named as it has ever changing wide reaching views of the Solent. The village comprises largely of Victorian and Edwardian holiday houses and cottages. It has certainly become a favourite holiday destination for families and sailors alike, who all seem to love the atmosphere and old fashioned pace of life. There is also plenty to explore with many coastal walks and local attractions such as the Seaview Wildlife Encounter.

The High Street offers some interesting shops and leads down to the Seaview Yacht Club and the Old Fort Bar which overlook the sea. The safe sandy beaches, including those of Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay, are great for swimming and children can have hours of fun exploring the rock pools. An event worth watching out for is the ‘Seaview Regatta’ which culminates in a wonderful firework display.
