Given how the other half of our friends' party was camping, we opted for a house in Seaton which accommodated up to 8 or 9 (the 9th has to be a child to fit). To be honest, there weren't really many houses in the area which housed so many. The house is on the main road but tucked away a little bit from the side of the road, allowing up to about 4 cars to be parked on the street. When we arrived, the neighbour, John, greeted us and was exceptionally friendly. He gave us tips about where to go, where to eat etc. Seaton itself is a bit run down, quite sad really. Beer, Branscombe, Axmouth and other towns / villages make up for it though. We had a BBQ at the house on the Sunday and invited a few other young families around and the garden was ideal. The kids could play, the adults socialise and generally not worry about safety of children etc. There's no constructive criticism for the owners of the house as it is really really nice. We'd definitely consider going again. Thanks again! PS You are based opposite a new bird nature reserve, this is worth exploring and within walking distance from the house. |
