Where Carisbrooke is situated you are in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, an ideal base for walking excursions along the glorious coast line. Alternatively at Axmouth Harbour you can relax with a snack and drink at the Chandlery whilst soaking up the views. You can arrange local chartering to go out bass fishing for the day.
Axmouth Golf Course is situated on top of the Haven cliff that you can see in the background of the harbour. A cliff top walk to Lyme Regis cuts across this golf course. The mud flats of the Axe river is a recognized haven for many breeds of birds and is on your doorstep (i.e. 400yds ).
You often see people along the side of the river with their binoculars trying to catch sight of a rare bird. For those not wishing to walk, go back in time and take a tram ride that runs along the side of the river.

The hall entrance has an oak flooring. The kitchen is well supplied with cupboards, cooking utensils, pans, a new Range cooker and the usual kitchen appliances. Opposite the kitchen is the lounge/diner.
Both bedrooms have double wardrobes, deep chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and electric power points. Extra blankets and a hair-dryer are supplied.
The bathroom has an electric shower, shaving point, storage cupboard, heated radiator, airing cupboard.

A car port provides sheltered off-road parking beside a small garden in front of the bay windows.
The rear of the property has a private courtyard with a garden shed holding garden furniture that can be used. There is also a collapsible rotating washing line.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival where you will be met by Allistair or Zoe (the owners) who live next door and they will be available to help in any way they can to ensure you enjoy your holiday.
If required, shopping can be bought in ready for your arrival.
The West Country region
Seaton has a long history going back to Saxon and Roman times. The Haven cliff was a major navigation landmark for seafarers who were endeavouring to sail into Axmouth harbour. The neighbouring villages of Beer and Branscombe were home of many smugglers, the most famous of which was Jack Rattenbury.

Seaton Tramway runs from Seaton to Colyton. Stopping at Colyford you can alight here and enjoy a walk into Colyton along the river. After strolling around the village, you could make your return journey on the tram.
Pecorama is located high on the hillside above the picturesque fishing village of Beer. Enjoy all the different gardens on show and travel on the narrow gauge railway.
A guided tour will take in 2,000 years of history at the incredible Beer Quarry Caves. View the vast underground chambers with their majestic vaulted ceilings and huge supporting pillars of natural stone.
The Donkey Sanctuary charity has been operating successfully worldwide for 40 years. Visit their farm to see the work they do and meet some of the very friendly donkeys they have rescued.
