A very attractive semi detached cottage, Grade II listed barn conversion, dating back to the 17th century, in the pretty village of Colyford. The cottage is one of four in this small select pretty courtyard setting. In the village there are two local inns, a restaurant, PO/Stores/butchers and a local Nature Reserve.

Under a 5 minutes drive to the popular small seaside town of Seaton with spectacular mile long beach and Esplanade, shops, two supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.

The picturesque fishing village of Beer is under a 10 minute drive, with sheltered beach, fishing trips, sailing, rock pooling, small family run beach cafes, deckchairs for hire and local fish for sale. All to hand are the local shops, art galleries, inns, selection of cafes, a wide variety of good restaurants, the historic Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway.

Stunning coastal walks along the Jurassic Coast to Beer, Branscombe and to the regency town of Sidmouth.

The coastal town of Lyme Regis, with its famous harbour, known as the Cobb, of the French Lieutenant fame, interesting individual specialist shops and cinema is under a 15 minute drive.

A little further onto Charmouth with the Heritage Coast Centre offering fossl hunting walks, rock pool rambles and special marine events. The market town of Axminster with interesting shops and TV chef Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and indoor swimming pool is also only a 15 minute drive.

Seaton, Devon

Seaton - Gateway to the Jurassic Coast

Pretty, friendly, traditional seaside town, the first in East Devon from Dorset, situated at the mouth of the River Axe overlooking the spectacular Lyme Bay. Bright, relaxed and non-commercial resort with mixture of Victorian and Edwardian architecture and pedestrianised town centre.

Superb mile long pebble beach with promenade with rock pools at Seaton Hole on the western end.

Unique scenic walks along the South West Coastal path to Lyme Regis by the famous Landslip and over the cliffs to Beer.

The Jubilee and Seafield Gardens with Cactus house, children's playground, putting green and tennis courts are ideal places to visit. Also, worth a visit is the award winning Seaton Labyrinth, a 60ft diameter spiral walk, made from seven types of stone from the World Heritage Coast.

Open top tram travels by the beautiful River Axe Valley, the Nature Reserve for wildlife enthusiasts - a bird lovers paradise to nearby Colyford and Colyton.

Many amenities:- Golf Course, Putting, Bowling, Tennis, fishing, sailing, windsurfing. monthly farmers market, Heritage Museum, Picture Village of Axmouth with 2 popular Inns, is a lovely level walk along the Estuary.

Colyton, an old world small town steeped in history - dating back to Saxon times. More of a village with quaint shops, fine art galleries, antiques, local rural crafts, garden shop, inns and eateries. Church of outstanding architecture. Fine walks in superb countryside and by fields on the River Coly. The pretty fishing village of Beer is only a 10 minutes drive away.

A horse drawn wagon takes visitors around the town. Electric tramway runs along the Axe Valley to coast at Seaton 3 miles away. Enroute is the interesting sister village of Colyford with Nature Reserve and Holyford Woods.
