The Cumbria/Lake District

Seascale is also an ideal base for those who would like to explore the Western Lake District. Wasdale is a 15 minute drive away with Wastwater Lake (England's deepest lake), Scafell Pike (England's highest mountain), St Olaf's Church (England's smallest church) and the venue of England's biggest liar (held at Santon Bridge Inn).

Eskdale is another lovely valley, only 15 minutes drive away, with hundreds of low-level as well as mountain walks. It also houses a terminus for the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway - a popular train that travels seven scenic miles to the coastal village of Ravenglass.

Ravenglass with Muncaster Castle, Gardens and Owl Centre is ten minutes away and has lots going on at different times of the year.

The sitting room is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs to seat six. It has TV, DVD and video player. With large windows looking towards the beach the sitting room gets the benefit of sunlight throughout the day (when it's shining at least!) making it a warm and lovely room.
