Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a sandwich, heat up a takeaway or prepare a gourmet meal, with a good range of cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment. The lounge area is furnished with good quality leather sofas, and hosts a small library of CDs, DVDs and books, plus a large amount of information about the area, maps and tourist attractions. Freeview TV.

The courtyard in which the cottage is set is one of the oldest parts of Seahouses.it has car parking facilities immediately outside the cottage and a picnic table per cottage is provided for alfesco dining. Within the courtyard is a laundry room which is shared between the 4 properties.

7 night bookings normally commence on a Saturday but we can be flexible subject to availability outside of Peak Season.
Weekend breaks of 3 nights commence on a Friday
Midweek breaks of 3/4 nights run Monday to Thursday.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental price is required on booking, balance is payable 52 days prior to arrival for date. We accept most major credit cards (3% surcharge applies) and debit cards(no charges), Pay Pal is also accepted for online bookings (3.4% surcharge applies).

The North Northumberland coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of sandy beaches, Castles standing guard over the coast, wildlife breeding grounds for grey seals and puffins to name just a couple. Gateway to the Farne Islands Seahouses is a bustling harbour catering for both the small local fishing fleet and visitor boats taking day trippers, orthothologists and photographers 2 miles offshore to the outcrop of Farne Islands.
15 miles south is the dominant Alnwick Castle with its world famous Garden, Inland are more castles, historical battle fields like Flodden, fantastic walking in the Cheviots, and sections of long walks pass through the area like the end of the Pennine Way, St. Oswald's Way, St. Cuthberts Way. Cycle routes around quiet local lanes or chunks of longer rides like the Coast and Castle route 1 between Newcastle and Edinburgh. All of which make this a county of many facets, there is literally something for everyone, young or old, activity orientated or sightseeing mad there is just loads to see and do here and we're confident your break won't be long enough to do it all, or so our past visitors tell us.... - you'll just have to come back again and again....
The Seahouses area
Seahouses, once a busy fishing village, is still a bustling tourist destination. The harbour area is the emarbarkation point for those wishing to visit the Farne Islands, be it for birdwatching, photography or diving, and the pretty Old Quarter of the village set above the harbour, is laid out in stone built "squares". Once full of fisher lasses feaverishly splitting, salting & barreling herring for the home and European market, the squares have now been converted into a variety of cottages and although some are occupied by families who have lived in the village for many generations, in the main the properties are used as holiday homes.

This is about the 6th time we've returned to 2CH..... Weather been super.... the welcome pack is a great idea...
Our second visit to No2 and yet again a good time was had by all... This place is very special - wide open spaces - uncrowded beaches and amazing sights......we walked for miles discovering loads of new and beautiful places.
What a revelation on arriving at No2 Cliff House Cottage - and what a little treasure with everything waiting for us to start our Northumbrian Holiday. Subsequently it has proved to be a perfect gem in :- 1. Position, everything you need or want within minutes walking 2. Quiet and peaceful 3. Very comfortable
There is nothing we can add. It would only add to the superlatives. I have been coming to Seahouses for more than 50 years but this has been my most enjoyable visit so far.
