Celebrate a cosy Christmas away from home with our yuletide offer. Wake up to a glass of bubbly on Christmas morning (we will leave a couple of bottles in the fridge), enjoy the firework display on Christmas Eve over Seahouses harbour, experience an atmospheric carol service at the beautiful church in Bamburgh or revel in a brisk Boxing Day walk on one of our beautiful beaches (the nearest is only a couple of minute's stroll away). Our large house is ideal for getting together with all the family, for chatting around the fireside and revelling in the peace and quiet of rural Northumberland. We will supply a real Christmas tree with decorations and fairy lights, all you need are the turkey and presents (we've even got the Scrabble). A week's retreat from the hustle and bustle starts on Sunday December 21st and costs £1350 (usually £1700). A five night break, starts on Tuesday December 23 and is £1150.
Our five bedroom home is large, warm, bright, clean and just a few minutes from the beach. It is a ten minute walk to Seahouses where you can enjoy pub grub, a pint or a glass of wine at the famous Ship Inn. Our house has every modern comfort and is equipped to a very high standard with comfy beds, crisp white linen and plenty of space for everyone.

There is a spare fridge in the garage so there's plenty of room for chilling the drinks.

The Northumberland region
Miles of virtually deserted beaches to wander along, fabulous countryside to explore...and great pubs to relax in after the day's exertions are over! Northumberland has so much to offer.
One day you can be following in the footsteps of Roman legionnaires on Hadrian's Wall, the next you're in Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter went to Hogwarts school.
And believe it or not, Northumberland gets some of the best weather in the country. According to the Met Office the county is one of the driest in Britain and gets more winter sunshine than many other areas.
Seahouses is a busy fishing village with miles of golden beaches. It has shops and a supermarket for everyday needs, There are pubs and restaurants too. A fabulous fresh fish shop sells prawns caught just off the coast and the area's world famous kippers.
The Ship Inn is arguably the best pub in the world!
A day trip to Holy Island, the cradle of Christianity is not to be missed, along with a boat ride to the Farne Islands where up to 70,000 puffins turn up each year. Children will love seeing the seals there too. Nearby villages like Bamburgh with its fabulous Castle and Beadnell offer more fabulous beaches. There are breathtaking golf courses along the entire coast where guest players are welcome.
Stables within walking distance of Sunshine House offer riding lessons and beach rides. A comprehensive guide book full of ideas for wet and dry days is available at Sunshine House.

"Fabulous holiday home in fabulous location"
We had an amazing 9 day's holiday at Sunshine House - its a fabulous holiday home for families in a fabulous location - 2 mins walk to the beach. Housing estate was extremely quiet and peaceful this time of year. Great view of Bamburgh and the Farnes from upstairs windows. House is spacious, in particular the kitchen and dining area with huge table for family dinners. Well equipped with plenty crockery (more in garage) and big pans and roasting tins etc. Very useful utility room with extra sink and big garage to put suitases in etc. Only suggestion could perhaps be to have an extra fridge for drinks, as the kitchen fridge filled up quickly with all our food. We found the beds very comfy with good quality bed linen. Great to have wi-fi for our ipads and 3TV's in the house- no arguments! Garden is secure for our dog and well maintained. There is the odd mark on the paintwork in places (as you would expect), but nothing to detract from the overall great presentation and enjoyment of the house. Thank you - hope to come back soon.
