Three bedrooms all able to be super king double or twin bedded. One located on the ground floor with shower room. Upstairs a further two bedrooms with one en suite and family bathroom.
The kitchen has an electric ceramic hob, fan assisted range oven, American style fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, ample storage, the owners run a restaurant so the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped.
The cottage is comfortable, light with open plan kitchen/ dining area. A cosy lounge area with seating for six, log burning stove TV, DVD, Free view.
A cot, high chair and stair-gate can be booked free by arrangement subject to availability.

The private walled courtyard garden is fully enclosed so an ideal safe environment for children and/or doges, is large enough to sit out in the evening, relax, have a BBQ and plan the next days exploring!

Prices include bedding, bed linen, towels and electricity. Heating is underfloor downstairs and a wood burning stove in the lounge.
Dogs are welcome free of charge.

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required on booking, balance is payable 52 days prior to arrival date. If booking within 52 days full payment is required on booking.
We accept most major credit/debit cards and Pay Pal. Transaction charges apply: Credit Cards 3% ; Pay Pall 3.4%; debit cards free of charges.

The Northern England / Northumberland region
Northumbria beaches have to been seen to be believed. There are many castles to explore where history comes alive.
Northumberland has traditions not found elsewhere in England. These include the rapper sword dance, the Clog dance and the Northumbrian smallpipe, a sweet chamber instrument, quite unlike the Scottish bagpipe.
Northumberland also has its own tartan or check, sometimes referred to in Scotland as the Shepherd's Tartan. Traditional Northumberland music sounds similar to Lowland Scottish music, reflecting the strong historical links between Northumbria and the Lowlands of Scotland.
The Seahouses area
North Sunderland is set back from the main town of Seahouses which makes it ideal for exploring the wonders of the Northumbrian coast. It is also only 20 minutes to Berwick and the Boarder county.
The cottage is 20 minutes to Alnwick to the south and the same to the north and you are in Berwick. Bird and wildlife enthusiasts are five minutes to The Farne Islands, with the Cheviot Hills and National Park also close by.

Has been an excellent break in Northumbria in no small part due to this very attractive house....Thank you for the cake, bread, lemon curd, tea, coffee ect - lovely touch and very welcoming great information books and maps.
What a truly wonderful house. 10 adults and six kids! We have had both houses Hastings and Poachers Retreat they are really fantastic. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, warm, cosy and equipped to a high standard.
Thank you so much for this perfect holiday home! Happy New Year and we are all refreshed and ready to start our New Year. Truly outstanding holiday.
This is our first holiday with our two beagles Alfie and Jasper who are 3 years old and we would like to thank you for making them so welcome. The house was perfect and we knew they were safe. Our teenage son and his friend appreciated the lovely cake in the welcome pack as they were very hungry when we arrived. The house was perfect with everything we could want as well as being to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed the beaches which are beautiful and perfect for the dogs and body boarding!!. Bamburgh and Alnwick are beautiful. Thank you once again for a lovely week.

Payment accepted by cheque and most major credit/debit cards, booking online available on our website, paymet required by card. a 3% surcharge is made on credit card transactions, debit card payments no surcharge. Pay Pal accepted for online bookings a 3.4% surcharge is applicable.
Weekday & Weekend Short Breaks are accepted and are priced per break not per night, typically:
1, 2 or 3 night break 75% of weekly rate.
4 night break 80% of weekly rate
5, 6 or 7 night break is charged at the full weekly rate.
The minimum number of nights accepted in a particular price band is quoted above.

A 2 person low occupancy discount of 20% is available on dates other than:
School, Bank or Public Holiday weeks on breaks of 7 nights +.
This discount applies only to 1 or 2 person occupancy of the property as a One Bedroom option, which by default will be the flexible Super Kingsize Double or Twin with ensuite Shower Room.
Note that the above weekly rates are pulled from our live tariff system and may already be discounted. Only one discount will be applicable to any one booking.
