The Northern England / Yorkshire / Northumberland region
Northumbria beaches have to been seen to be believed. There are many castles to explore where history comes alive.
Northumberland has traditions not found elsewhere in England. These include the rapper sword dance, the Clog dance and the Northumbrian smallpipe, a sweet chamber instrument, quite unlike the Scottish bagpipe.
Northumberland also has its own tartan or check, sometimes referred to in Scotland as the Shepherd's Tartan. Traditional Northumberland music sounds similar to Lowland Scottish music, reflecting the strong historical links between Northumbria and the Lowlands of Scotland.
Seahouses area
North Sunderland is set back from the main town of Seahouses which makes it ideal for exploring the wonders of the Northumbrian coast. It is also only 20 minutes to Berwick and the Boarder county.
The cottage is 20 minutes to Alnwick to the south and the same to the north and you are in Berwick. Bird and wildlife enthusiasts are five minutes to The Farne Islands, with the Cheviot Hills and National Park also close by.
How to get there
By Car via A1 turn off at B1340 and follow signs to Seahouses - full directions will be provided. Airline to Newcastle International and hire Car Train - North East Coastal line alight at Alnmouth for Alnwick, pre-arrange a taxi or pick up. Cycle - Coast and Castles Route 1. Foot - Northumberland Coastal Path, St. Oswald's Way - detour 0.25k

The kitchen has an electric ceramic hob, fan assisted range oven, American style fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and ample storage.
The cottage is comfortable, light with open plan kitchen/ dining area. A cosy lounge area with seating for six, log burning stove TV, DVD, Free view. All the bedrooms can be either super king double or twin.
A cot, high chair and stair-gate can be booked free by arrangement subject to availability.
