This great cottage, sleeping up to six people is located in the heart of the historic harbour area in Seahouses. The cottage has been tastefully renovated and still retains a narrow corridor in the kitchen where the barrels of herring and other fish were rolled from the yard onto the carts for transporting around the region. It is an ideal property where you can relax at any time of year.
There is a cosy lounge with comfortable sofas and log fire perfect for some rejuvenation. The lounge has everything you could desire to indulge in some proper relaxtion either with the fire, CD radio, books, TV or simply sitting back on the sofas and taking in the tranquility the property offers.
The kitchen is large and modern with everything you could require. Prepare a banquet for your family and friends and entertain them around the dining table. The patio doors from the dining room lead onto a private courtyard ideal for children to play in or simply relax with a glass of wine as the sun sets.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.

The cottage is located in Seahouses village, a few yards from the harbour. The village is easy to get to by car or public transport. There is a regular bus service from Berwick upon Tweed and Alnwick. Driving to the cottage is very straight forward, the village is signposted from the A1 north and south of Alnwick. Cheap flights are available from many major European cities to Newcastle Airport through operators such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and others and the cottage is only an hours drive from the airport. Access by train is from Alnmouth station which is on the East Coast Main Line from London to Edinburgh. Seahouses village is a short taxi ride or bus from Alnmouth. Bedroom 3 / Dining Room : Very comfortable double sofa bed with storage. Big dining table with 6 chairs which can easily be moved into the lounge to set up the sofa bed. Bathrooms : Electric shower over bath, heated towel rail, basin and wc. Kitchen : Fully equipped kitchen including cooker, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment) washing machine and microwave. All crockery, cutlery, pots etc are provided along with iron & ironing board. Living Room : Two three seater sofas in front of an open-fire (some logs provided). TV, freeview digibox, DVD player, CD radio, video, games, books, DVD provided, Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service : Duvet, linen and towels are provided. Changed weekly for two week or longer stays. Other : Converting the dining room into a comfortable third bedroom is very easy to set up.
