About the home

The stunning open plan kitchen, living room and dining area have spectacular views across this fantastic stretch of coastline. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining table with seating for six looks out through the balcony doors across the coast. The living room has comfortable sofas and a wide screen TV and DVD player.

French doors open out on to the balcony where you can relax and enjoy the views. Downstairs there is also a double bedroom and shower room. The double bedroom has French doors leading onto a large suntrap balcony to the rear of the property. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with the same fantastic castle views. The third bedroom is a spacious twin with an en suite shower room.

Guest passes to the Ocean Club* (private club with swimming club, fitness suite and health and beauty spa) in Seahouses.

* Please note, the Ocean Club membership pass allows entry to this private Club. There is a charge to pay per visit of £6 per adult and £3 per child (Children under 2 go free).

Kitchen: Well equipped modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and ample storage space.There is a washing machine in the utility cupboard in the main hall.

Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with bedside tables, chest of drawers and French Doors leading to large balcony.

Bathroom: Shower room with large walk in shower, cupboard, wash basin, W.C. and heated towels rail.

Bedroom 2: Master bedroom with double bed and bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and en suite bathroom. Superb views.
En suite: Bathroom with bath (excellent views from bath), cupboard, wash basin , WC and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 3: Spacious twin room with bed side tables, chest of drawers and en-suite shower room.

En suite: Shower room with large walk in shower, cupboard, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail.

Bed linen, towels and heating are included in the booking price

There is balcony to the front of the property with a table, chairs and superb views across the coast. To the rear of the property there is another much larger balcony which is fantastic for catching the afternoon sun. There is space to park inside the development directly outside the entrance to the property.

The Seahouses area

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.

The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.

The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coast to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.

The cottage is located in Seahouses village, a few yards from the harbour. The village is easy to get to by car or public transport. There is a regular bus service from Berwick upon Tweed and Alnwick.

Driving to the cottage is very straight forward, the village is signposted from the A1 north and south of Alnwick.
Cheap flights are available from many major European cities to Newcastle Airport through operators such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and others and the cottage is only an hours drive from the airport.

Access by train is from Alnmouth station which is on the East Coast Main Line from London to Edinburgh. Seahouses village is a short taxi ride or bus from Alnmouth.

“Excellent base” We try somewhere different every New Year. We used to be a party of 8 , now children have flown the nest there is just the 4 of us ( aged 50ish) . This apartment was an excellent find, modern, clean, well equipped, with great views of the stunning beaches. We watched the fireworks over Bamburgh castle from our balcony on New Years Eve. Plenty big enough for the 4 of us for 4 nights. We enjoyed plenty of walks, The Ship Inn and the local curry house. A trip to the tree house restaurant in Alnwick is a must., as is Lindisfarne .The booking process was effortless.
