The Paphos District
Paphos combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour and plenty of open air cafes and bars. Further inland is the old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit. As a consequence, Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.
Cyprus is famous as the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman mythology. She is known as the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.
Sea Caves area
This prime positioned holiday Villa is within an affluent area known as 'Sea Caves' and Akamas Peninsular, a protected area of outstanding natural beauty, yet still close to Coral Bay (4km) and Peyia Village (5km) with their diverse range of traditional and modern bars and restaurants. The Sea Caves area , like much of Paphos, was once rural and barren land but over recent years the Sea Caves area has changed dramatically.
Now the Sea Caves area is one of the finest residential areas in Cyprus, offering some of the most exclusive villas in the island. This is not surprising when you consider its breathtaking rugged Cypriot coastline and small sandy coves with crystal clear Mediterranean waters. Sunsets in the region are simply magical.
Proceeding along from the Sea Caves you come to the pretty, tiny picturesque fishing harbour of St George with a small sand/shingle beach. St George, like Sea Caves, is a perfect spot for snorkelling and scuba diving or topping up your sun tan.
We strongly recommend tasting the local speciality "fish meze" in one of the selection of small family run tavernas at St George and the dramatic sunsets are worth the visit alone from any area of this amazing coastline.
Situated 12kms from Paphos on the west coast of Cyprus and just 3km from Sea Caves, Coral Bay is a delightful resort renowned for its superb (blue flag) sandy beaches. The main thoroughfare of Coral Bay is lined with a small but ample selection of shops, restaurants, banks and bars giving you everything you need for a relaxing holiday without losing any of its local charm.
Life in Coral Bay tends to be based around the sandy bay with calm shallow waters, also offering a wide selection of water sports, it is perfect for a day out for all the family.
Other things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, Reptile Park, Horse Riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Beach Nature Reserve (famous for turtles), Hiking/Walking, Buggy Safaris, 4 x 4 Safaris, Sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from the area, as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings the mosaics and the Christian Catacombs.
If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski!

Guestbook for Villa Estia
Review submitted by Lee from Leicester (Submitted: 31/10/2009)
"We had a fantastic time at the villa. We got married whilst in Cyprus and held a small catered BBQ for our friends and family at the villa. All were amazed and loved the villa, even the wedding planner, caterer and photographer. Lizzy who met us at the villa was brilliant and it was nice to get the welcome pack in the fridge. She went to great lengths to help us get back our daughters much loved two cuddly bunnies who got left behind by accidident. We found the booking system easy to use and it was nice that we telephone from the airport and Lizzy was waiting for us when we got to the villa. Jason the Garden/pool man made an extra effort with the garden the day before the wedding. Little details were well thought out. Will definitely try to get back there again soon. Thank you"
Review submitted by clair from hertford (Submitted: 12/08/2009) "Villa Estia was the most stunning villa we have stayed in. Everything was on site for us and the children - especially the fabulous pool. Cyprus was amazing and the villa was close enough for us to use the shops, but not on top of the busier places. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone and we will certainly be returning."
Review submitted by Kim & Jim from Weymouth (Submitted: 28/04/2008)
"Very impressed with the Villa Estia, which exceeded all expectations. Our three children thought that the games room was wonderful and had lots of fun on the pool table. The views from the Villa Estia were fantastic and to wake up and hear the sea every morning was a real bonus. The Sea Caves area is very quiet and quite exclusive we understand and was also conveniently located away from all of the commercial parts of Pathos. Steven and Lisa the agents were amazing. Very informative, friendly, supportive and prompt with any queriesor concerns that we may have had. The villa was cleaned and sheets changed during the week that we were there, as an added touch. We would definitely recommend Villa Estia and Steven and Lisa are definitely your agents in Cyprus for holidaylettings. Many thanks for a great holiday."
The villa is in a great location if you like it to be quiet but still within reach of amenities. Everything is clean and modern. The garden is a lot bigger than we expected and the pool was a godsend on those hot summer afternoons. The boys loved the pool table and we would recommend the villa to any large group who will be visiting the area. Thanks very much. Martha and Jeremy from London.
