This recently refurbished semi detached holiday bungalow "Yr Eidel Fach" is situated in the village of Scurlage, in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, the first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK.

Just 30 minutes from the city of Swansea, the Gower is a truly lovely area containing some of the best beaches in the UK.

Port Eynon, Rhossili, Oxwich and Mewslade beaches are all about 10 minutes away by car. The Gower coastal path is one of the most scenic walks in Wales, and it's not too long either!

The bungalow is on the Gower Holiday Village, a spacious, well maintained site with lots of facilities. A heated indoor pool with a jacuzzi, a childrens play area, and a games room are all available free during your stay. Please note that the tumbledown soft play area incurs a £3 charge and children must be supervised. There is wifi access in the area of the site office.

Close to the site entrance is a general store and post office, a fish and chip shop, a pub, and doctors surgery and a chemist.

Loca buses stop just outside the site.

The bungalow sleeps 5, there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single fold up bed in the lounge. There is also a travel cot. (Please bring own blankets etc) There are storage heaters in the lounge and both bedrooms for the colder months. We supply duvets and pillows but not bed linen or towels so please remember to bring your own.

The open plan kitchen is fully equiped for 5 people, kettle, toaster, microwave, double oven, table and chairs etc

The bathroom includes a walk in venturi power shower

The lounge includes a large sofa plus 2 armchairs. An ironing board and an iron are provided plus a hair dryer. There is a sony digital tv that receives the usual range of freeview channels plus a DVD player.

There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the bungalow. There are also some garden chairs for relaxing outside.

Arrival times are after 4.00pm and departures before 10.00am.

When bookings are confirmed I will forward by email an information sheet which will give details about how things work, where the keys are, etc Also a site plan showing location of bungalow.

Southern Wales region

South Wales is a perfect location for any family holiday, short break or weekend getaway

In South Wales you're never far from a mountain or the sea - so it's no wonder walkers, cyclists, surfers and sailors love to come and visit. There is a real buzz about Cardiff our capital city and the nearby Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Swansea & the Gower, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay all have wonderful clean beaches and some surprising marine life

Why not have a holiday in Pembrokeshire or Ceredigion and look out for the dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, Atlantic grey seals and leatherback turtles. The Brecon Beacons National Park leads to the steep-sided Valleys of South Wales carved by the rivers Rhondda, Taff, Rhymney and Cynon.

Scurlage

The Gower Peninsula is both beautiful and unspoilt, there are many historic features located over an area that measures just sixteen miles by seven miles wide. Notably, Gower was one of the first places designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' under the Act of 1949. This website aims to highlight and prom e main features and attractions of Gower and the surrounding area, whilst also giving guidance to visitors, helping them to maximise their enjoyment of South and West Wales .

"A compact family base for exploring the Gower in Wales"

A well equipped holiday home with good facilities on site or nearby. A car is necessary but it is easy to explore the several beaches and walks on the Gower peninsula. Do not expect fast moving traffic but do expect to pay to park the car when away from the holiday home.
Long walks on beaches and in the countryside and come back to swim in the heated pool on site. Mecca for surfers of all standards on several beaches and National Trust property and coast line to explore.
